No. Kevin Love doesn't fix our need for a defensive minded, athletic, shot blocking, physical PF.
I definitely wouldn't give up our lottery pick as well.
I'm happy with Murphy if Love is the best we can do with TJ + Lottery Pick.

True, but he can score and rebound extremely well in the post. I don't think I'd do the deal either (and it certainly doesn't work under the cap), but I kind of like Kevin Love.

I like Love too, but Murphy can score and rebound pretty well too and he's a better fit in JOB's offense when he trails and shoots those straightaway threes. Love wouldn't be able to do that (though he could probably bounce it in or kick it in). Plus, like I mentioned in another thread, I'm banking on Hibbert being that scoring low post option.

No, because MIN wouldn't do it at least I don't think so (neither would I, but I think MIN rejects because Love seems to be a local favorite especially of McHale; no need to break that up)
I think a Ford for Haslem and change (maybe we could get a Cook/Chalmers but most likely Wright) is a possibility. I would be fine with that because I'm not so sure Ford is a great fit here chemistry wise. He might get along with everyone, but I feel the team is better suited for Jack's versatility. Ford probably doesn't want to be a backup, but I would keep him if he makes it clear he is OK with being a backup. Plus, I'de rather have more size at the backup PG position. Someone closer to Jack's build.

I'd do it. This draft isn't that great. Love has a lot of potential and much more value than Ford right now.

Okay, for it to work cap-wise, it would have to be:
Ford and our lottery pick for Love, Brian Cardinal, and their second rounder.
So for added incentive, we would have to take on the remainder of Cardinal's contract. I still don't think they would do it, but I think they would listen.

Re: Would you do...
I'd do it, but why would Minnesota?
I'm not so sure TJ is their PG answer.
If they were to move Love, the only position i can see them being interested in is a Center. And a good defensive one at that.

I don't see them doing this. Cardinal expires next year (end of 2010), doesn't he? I could be wrong, it may be 2011.
