I really don't see anything outside of Rush/Hibbert/Granger that would get us the #5 pick. The only possibility I can see, is if they want a future pick, in a strong draft.

The only way I could see it working is if they pick who we want at #5, then we select who they want at #13, then trade that guy with next years 1st for #5.

I really wouldn't wanna trade a future pick UNLESS we get Jrue Holiday, outside that I'd rather just stay at #13. Tyreke Evans might also be OK if and only if he becomes a full time PG. I wouldn't wanna use the #5 on a SG.

I'm thinking a TJ Ford+13th pick for 5th pick+bad contract+Mike James?

I'd be thrilled if we got Holiday at #5. Repeat: THRILLED. I'd be okay with Evans too, but I'd want some strong reassurances that his future is at the point and not the two.

Agreed, TJ Ford actually makes sense for them in the sense they are looking to win now.

I initially didn't understand the Evans speculation (shades of Shawne Williams), but the more I think about it he makes a lot of sense for us. He measured really well, and I think he could play a Marquis type roll filling in at SG, and even SF for a year or two while playing a little at the point and getting acclimated. I think his versatility would really fit the wholes we have on the wing currently.

See, I'd think he would play a lot more at the point than at small forward. In fact, I'm not sure he would play any at small forward unless we had some bizarre Diener-Jack-Evans-Granger-Murphy type of lineup at some point.

I think I am off the Tyreke Evans bandwagon for now (it was a fun ride). He's tallied up 3 strikes as far as I'm concerned: 1) He's from Memphis (Shawne Williams... enough said); 2) He was apparently the driver of a vehicle involved in a drive-by shooting and death (this is much worse than what Tinsley is accused of); 3) He did terrible on the lane-agility test at the combine, which should cast a lot of doubt on his ability to defend at the next level (especially at the PG position).

I am now on the Stephen Curry bandwagon: upright citizen and prolific shooter. T.J. Ford for the #5 pick! Get it done Larry!
