Doesn't matter because this team can't get the BIG STOP late.

^^Right. The best part of our defensive game is on inbounds passes when we're down. If they get it inbounds, we're screwed.

You gotta love what Courtney Lee does for the Magic. I'm a big fan. I still don't forgive him for beating my high school's basketball team in semi-state six years ago though.

Orlando plays out of their mind and gets a slim lead..... miss a few, Lakers play decent ball for a few min and they take the lead. lol
It just ain't fair. Orlando can't beat this team. I don't think many teams can. Lakers played down a lot to their opponents i think.
Orlando may be dead in the water here.

Ariza is playing great right now. Gasol is 3-3 and looks great, besides only taking 3 shots, i think he'll take more in the 2nd then Bynum who has 11 i just heard Magic Johnson say on ABC. But Orlando doesn't seem to have the hot hand. 1-9 from 3. I really think their done. Bryant can smell a ring and with a 10 point advantage with 24 minutes to go, only gives Orlando more trouble.

I despise the Lakers, but they were clearly the best team in the playoffs.

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
So, why am I uncomfortable about the future if I'm a Magic fan?
...because, I'm not entirely sure that paying Rashard Lewis $81.4mm over the next four years is better than paying Jamaal Tinsley $14.8mm over the next two.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Disappointing Finals. Anytime the Lakers win, that tends to be the case. Blah.

Not that I'm a big hockey guy, but at least the Penguins beat the Red Wings. Otherwise, '09 was shaping up to be a pretty crummy sports year after '08 was absolutely incredible (Steelers, Red Wings, and Lakers have all had their fair share of titles). Of course, I won't complain if the Yankees can win it all in October

I did catch the last 10 minutes of that hockey game, it was great, especially the last 2 minutes. The last 6 seconds were nuts. Oooh man the Yankees would just make things worse. I haven't liked a champ in a while. The Phillies weren't bad I guess. I wanted them to lose, though.

Yankees=the Lakers of MLB. In other words, bleh. Plus, they aren't going anywhere unless they can find a way to beat the Red Sox.

I think I like the Lakers more than the Celtics. I don't know though. It's tough between the Yankees and Red Sox, too.

Since I'm in Beantown, I'm officially property of the Red Sox.
About tonight...most anti-climactic championship victory. I almost fell asleep in the 4th.
I am SO glad Penguins won, too.
