We are taking Blair with the #13th pick.

How do I know? Because its the only scenario I'd be etremely pissed off about - excluding a crap trade.

You better start talking yourself into it now. I think if we stay at #13, Blar is the pick. I'm okay with it, I think he is the type of player we need. I don't think he will ever be a star, but he'll be solid.

Bird said if he gets the chance to take a 3 or 4 year guy he will. blair or hans looks like a possibility. he also said to likely see 5 new faces.

No he didn't. He said it's possible that we will see five new faces. Not that it's likely.

I'm hoping he's not talking about the Pacemates. I mean, yeah, that might help attendance if they got some super-hot girls, but I'd like to see 5 new faces that will help the team directly.

There's also the possibility that five of our players are getting plastic surgery.

On draft night, I think the Pacers will be one of the more active teams. Hell, everyone may be surprised when we shoot upwards to snag a higher pick, or if we were to own the draft in the 13-20 range.

Surprise and excitement are always welcome in my book.

last year the deal was already in place before our pick came around. we'd agreed to make the swap if Portland's guy were available at our pick. I'm hoping the same sort of deal is in effect this week. the draft looks relatively flat talent wise to me from 13 on down so I'd be very comfortable moving down. for that matter, apart from the number one pick I don't see anyone else that stands out as a clear choice.

I think the difference this year is that we are waiting to see if anyone falls to us. Last year, we had Rush pegged. He was our guy. This year I think we are hoping one of the top 8 falls to us, and if that happens, we will probably keep him (depending on who it is of course).
