Pacers Contact Luther Head & Shannon Brown

First of all, Happy Independence Day everyone.

Now, reports say the Pacers have contacted a couple of guys that we hadn't talked about yet.

I think Luther Head would absolutely be deadly in our offense, but I don't know how good his defense is and he's a bit small for a wing.

Shannon Brown would be ideal for us I think. He's young, has good size, freakishly athletic, moves well without the ball on offense, and has pretty good defense. He played great for the Lakers last year after their trade. I always expected a bit more out of him when he came out of Michigan State but he could never quite get a real shot to do anything in Cleveland, Chicago, or Charlotte.

I wouldn't be mad at either of these signings (or Dahntay Jones), but I would prefer Brown. What do you guys think?

I agree, Brown can help us. But what would he cost? and would it affect us re-signing Jack?

They are talking with any two guard who they feel they can sign within reason.

Then you got the two from today.

Parker is just as intriguing as Jones is in that he averaged a PG like 4.3 assists last year playing in nearly every game for the Raptors.

id rather take brown...he played well for the lakers and definatelly could see him thriving with our type of basketball

Wondering if Brown is a fall back in the event of Jack doesn't resign. I've always wondered what happened to Head. It seemed like he got off to a good start in Houston then fell out of favor somehow. Of all the names my guess is Brown has the most upside.

I like all in there own ways but Brown would prob be the best as he would be cheaper is youngere as well. plus he showed me a lot with the lakers as he is athletic and can play defense pretty well too.

could we get both if we dont resign Jack? would filling roster spots be worth losing Jack?

Both seem like they could be reasonably cheap yet effective options. I've always liked Luther Head, he can shoot and is a solid defender. Only problem is, is that he's kind of a tweener between the 1 and 2.

Shannon Brown is athletic and is a good defender from what he showed in the postseason.
