hey all. i really hope we can get Rondo but I highly doubt we could. How many years left on his contract til we would have to give him an extension? Would Boston want Tin Man? I would in a heart beat but thats just me. Sad to see Jack go but happt to see we got Watson (watsoff haha maybe a new nickname for him)

Rondo for Gay, Conley, and a 2nd? If I were starting a team I would take Gay over Rondo and Conley over Rondo, ALONE! I would take Rondo over the 2nd rounder, though.

I think if you swap Conley for Rondo then Conley would be having the type of career Rondo has had (except more assists and steals and less boards).

It WILL NOT HAPPEN. I would bet my last dollar on that.

Agreed.

Your both correct. Celtics are not trading Rondo unless someone overpays. In Indy's case that would be Granger. Not going to happen.

If we needed a guy to give us 12/8 we'd just activate Tinsley. I'll pass on the overrated Rondo.

^^ Tinsley would run Bostons offense better than Ford or Rondo could. TJ and Rondo are a wash: they're in the same class with the likes of Jameer, Felton and Hinrich. Rondo is what he is, overhyped.

Running the offense? Yeah, Tinsley and Rondo might be somewhat similar there. Both are distributors who can fill up the score sheet in a quarter, but they both can't reliably hit a jump shot to save their lives.

The difference lies in the fact that Rondo is a tremendous defender at the PG spot while Tinsley was always at best only slightly atrocious.

I think Rondo is a little overrated and has inflated stats, but I take him over TJ anyday.

Rondo would be a horrible match too. But I don't expect O'brein to be here after this season. I'm a little conflicted, without O'brein TJ is a much better pg than he showed last season.

mike wells on twitter - Word is Brian Scalabrine won't be part of a sign-and-trade deal between the Pacers and Celtics if the two teams can come to an agreement.

well, that makes sense. For some reason the celtics like scal as a 5th big man because in a pinch they play him at 3 positions. TAllen is ptless if we get daniels.

Scal is a likeable guy, but I hope he is NOT part of any Celts and Pacers deal.

Yeah, is it really about TJ anymore? It seems like to me it is Daniels for up to 3 of Boston's young guys. Maybe we add in Diener (fine with me--I like Diener but I really want to give AJ Price a chance). Hopefully this Tinsley buyout is part 1 of at least 2... or 3... or even 4!
