I figured Sims would finally make the roster. Bird must see something in Jones that makes him think he's a rotational player in the future.

Is Stephen Graham on the Pacers for next year?

Not right now.

And Solomon's contract is for 2 years and the league minimum. I think the 2nd year is a player option.

Though Solomon Jones is not a big name in the league, i think Larry made a good choice in bringing in a shotblocking presence up front - he's young, athletic, and i really do think he's got a big upside. And his contract's very reasonable so i think the signing is good overall.
Offensively, Jones needs to work. He's kinda raw from the very limited minutes he got with the Hawks.
The good thing is, defense is already there, and i think he can get more minutes than Baston had the previous season.
I like the Pacers adding in "real" defensive players like Watson, Dahntay and Solomon. Add it to the core that we have and i think we could be a pretty good defensive mob.

I think that we should give him a chance. He's cheap and if hes a bust we really didn't risk much. As I recall hes a pretty good shot blocker which could add to our defensive mindset for this season. He also needs to add some muscle to really help out our squad! BUT..... We really need to be worried about a backup for Granger!

With the Earl Watson deal being finalized very soon (possibly today or tomorrow according to Mike Wells), the Boston deal should fall in place this week as well. I have a feeling we're going to be welcoming Tony Allen & J.R. Giddens to the Pacers, then quickly waving goodbye to Allen due to a buyout (with the money Boston will send our way).
