Ha. The number of people who took this seriously is pretty funny.

Boneman2 wrote:Fien , us resigning Tinsley is simply outlandish jibber. I do agree that Tinsley will throw his big ass around and abuse any one of our PGs. However, Ford would atleast break Tinsley down with his speed. Interesting match-up but I think Tinsley's size eventually wears on Ford.

disclaimer: If JT uses the first part of the regular season for conditioning, than all bets are off.

JT's return to Conseco will be dreadful for him.

I didn't take the bait.

Outlandish jibber is the tool used to gain the attention of others.

Fien sometimes makes a lot of sense with his ideas, then he loses all credibility just to create drama revolving around a silly idea that he knows wouldn't fly.

The rule against resigning him is the rule of stupidity! I don't know if you were serious or not but the idea of going out and resigning a guy you just bought out is quite stupid! You want to say you were joking ok whatever.

Well, hell. It wasn't from lack of trying. You're right - I definitely thought it was funny. I'm still baffled that anybody thought it wasn't funny. More baffled that some people thought it was a serious idea. How ridiculous can you make something before people get that it's a joke? Apparently, I did not reach the limit. Again, not from lack of trying.

You were serious. You are backtracking now that you have realized how aggressively (Please Use More Appropriate Word) the idea is.

Even if you were joking, you have to realize that this is the internet. If you don't make a joke clear enough it's going to be taken seriously.

It's also not a good idea to start a thread with such a terrible joke. Your statement in the OP where you say that he's better than any PG on our roster is sadly arguable, as opposed to generally accepted as false.

I guess the board just assumed that this was the quality of idea you were capable of generating.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

After we re-sign Tinsley, we can trade for Artest, go to Detroit, pay someone to throw beer on him, and start a huge f***ing brawl again!

Pros:

Will get the Pacers on national news again (espn, cnn, etc)
Would inspire that nice feeling of solidarity we had when there were only like 6 non-suspended, non-injured guys for a game.

Cons:
Beer is expensive at stadiums, maybe we should make the guy buy it himself.
