You don't sound aggressive. I take it you watch more Euro ball than I do, so I was just saying I couldn't see Erazem getting 14 and 10. This is assuming Granger improves his rebounding and Roy gets more minutes, and even with Troy leaving the team, Tyler Hansborough or McBob will take those vacated minutes, so if Erazem gets 30 a game, I would say 10 and 8.

Appreciate the update. Doesn't appear the timing of things could be much better. His Euro contract ends when Pacers will have the potential to make major adjustments to their roster. Assuming HIbbert, S. Jones and Hansbrough develop Lorbek and the skills described would be a very good complement to this group. I've been really impressed by Scola. If that comparison is accurate in 2011 he could be an improvement over Murphy.

He should be a solid addition. There's always a grey patch when it comes to Euros heading to the NBA, by all accounts he should be able to hold a spot in the rotation. I'd be surprised if he has a Scola-esque effect, but it it plausable.

Another amazing game by Lorbek in European Championship Quarterfinals

http://www.eurobasket2009.org/en/cid_to ... mID_.html#{1B1FCE4B-ACC2-4DAF-80EE-2DAEAC8D40D7}

39 min
8/11 fg
2/2 3pt
5/7 ft
27 points
8 reb
3 steals

You IND fans should really see some of his games...at age 25 he is probably top 3 pf/c in Europe if not nb.1 ...and his offensive moves, he has so many options that no one can guard him...he will be a great player also in NBA competition.

0 assists? What a greedy sod.

Nice to see a fair amount of consistency with his overall game though.

Not a big fan of using video mixes to get a read on talent, but you can really see that Lorbek can play in the post. His ability to adjust to contact is very impressive. Based on what I've seen and Hollinger's projection of Euro players, I'm excited to get this guy over here. And especially with our lack of post-presence... what's taking so long?

So, yesterday was a semifinal of ECs...
Erazem was AGAIN a great great player..
He totaled 25 points along with 10 rebounds before fouling out.. He fouled out in 36th minute, and Slovenija couldnt win without him in overtime..
He, along with Pau Gasol is a MVP candidate.. They both have very very similar stats;

Pau Gasol 26,1 min | 18,8 pts | 8,0 reb | 67,1% 2P FG | 1,3 ast | 2,1 blk
E. Lorbek 30,1 min | 17,0 pts | 7,3 reb | 56,8% 2P FG | 2,4 ast | 0,5 blk

Erazem has more steals as well, and a better 3p %...
So.. I guess he might have been a good player for you

Indy fans have to excuse us Slovenians for being too enhusiastic with Erazem Lorbek, but he just played the best turnament in our history. He currently is top 3 centres in Europe. His biggest asset right now is his footwork. He has the best footwork in Europe and in my opinion even the NBA. Maybe I'm forgetting someone in the NBA, but here really few Cs count on their footwork to score. He he uses a combination of shoot fakes, rollings, pivoting, jab steps to get him self an open shoot. He is as skilled as you will find as he can even dribble the ball up court if opposing teams try to pressure the guards.

So why is he not making max money in the NBA? Because he has some fisical limitations. First of all he is a bit small for NBA C at 6' 10'' is not really strong and is sllower than your average NBA C. Thats why he is still not very good on the defensive end. Ok he is in Europe (at least a decent defender) but in the NBA I think he would struggle. He would get overpowered. But he is improving in this regard to.

My NBA comparison is smaller Brad Miller with a better 1on1 skills, but less thoughness.

I used to think that he couldn't make it in the NBA, but not anymore. Like someone alredy wrote he went against Kirstic, Gortat, Gasols, Javtokas, Asik and came out on top most of the time. But I'm not really sure he will ever come over, since he is having a lot of things going in his favor right now in Europe.

You guys are getting me more and more excited. It's going to be interesting having him as another prospect, and I think he'll be finally brought over after Troy Murphy is gone (Foster would have to retire or be traded). That would give us a frontcourt rotation of Tyler, Hibbert, McBob, and Erazem. That would give us a great combination of skillsets and versatility. If not, we'd have some sweet trade chips.

No, no, no. Lorbek is garbage. Plain and simple. Let him stay in that euro team.
