GDT: Warriors @ Pacers
No game thread yet so I'll start one. Perhaps I may even be the only one to comment here given our lack of activity.
Well 4 mins left and we're up double digits.
Danny playing well.
Earl having a nice game.
Hungry Hungry Hibbert is 2 rebounds shy of a 4th double double in a row and Psycho T playing well again (aside from the fould trouble).
What happened to TJ? Was he injured?

Thanks for being here glasket. I had a gig, and a generally busy day, and I didn't get to see the game. Glad we won.

TJ injured his back when he tried to pull up for a jumper. Back spasms was the report from Stacy.

Re: GDT: Warriors @ Pacers
Granger with 31 pts and 16 rebounds
Hansbrough with 11 points, 8 boards (5 offensive), and 5 fouls in 16 minutes
The thing that is worrying me the most about Hansbrough right now is his shooting. He was 3-12 from the field, and 5-8 from the line. Its only his second game though and those numbers are still great to see. Also his drive and physicality is tremendous out there. Look for alot of bloody noses in the future for both teams when Hansbrough's out there.
A great win tonight and it was really good to see Earl step up big.

Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

The best thing about Hansbrough so far is that he's getting to the free-throw line a LOT. The Pacers really need someone like that, seems like the last couple of years our opponents have routinely shot way more free throws than the Pacers have.
Those rebounds look good too. Not worried about the shooting pcts. after only two games.
Really pleased with Hibbert as well, for a second-year center he seems to be developing nicely.

Thats a game we need to win, and we took care of business. Now, Boston and the possibility of getting over .500 Saturday night..

What's the word om Ford? I have him on my fantasy team, and looks like he was starting off good, then only played 4 minutes.

Nellie benched him "claiming" he had a sore back but according to jax he was fine. Looks like his days in the bay are well and truly done.

I definitely wouldn't worry about Hansbrough's shooting percentage. There were about 4 or 5 shots that were heavily contested and probably should have been fouls. He should have shot a good 6 to 8 more free throws, but he's a rookie so probably isn't going to get those calls just yet.

I couldn't exactly make out what he said. Sounded like something along the lines of "get your ass off me!"

Re: GDT: Warriors @ Pacers
Although it is hard to tell against a Team like the Warriors which ran the SMALLEST BALL lineup the I have ever seen ( Good God.....they had Acie/Monta/Curry/AZU on the floor at the same time ), what did you think of Watson running the PG spot for the majority of the game?
Did the flow of the game seem to be more "in tune" with the rest of the Team compared to when Ford is running the point?
Honestly, just like with Jack last season....I wouldn't be surprised if Ford is benched in favor of Watson sometime after Ford returns from his injury. I'm going to suggest that Watson will be seen as a PG that may not be as flashy as Ford but one that is a better floor general for a Team like the Pacers that needs a more "stablizing" presense at the PG spot that plays at a more traditional and controlled style.

Ford played very well from the second half of the Nuggets game until he left with the injury. Neither he nor Watson is the solution at PG, but I don't really see Ford losing his job to Watson.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I can't see O'Brien making a change unless Ford decides to go one on five and consistently turn it over. But I really like how Watson has played so far. He reminds me of a better version of Diener, especially since he's knocking down that three regularly now. He brings the stability that Diener brought, with the outside shooting, and better defense. One play last night stood out to me - the tip rebound to keep the ball alive. I love that from the point guard.

I agree with your assessment of Watson......if anything....he fills the role that Jack filled last season. But that brings me to the point I was saying....Watson is a more controlled and stable PG that doesn't take risks when it comes to running the offense. Ford is a much better "one on one" scorer ( no doubt )....but I just don't like the way that he runs the offense. I'm guessing that if we had a quicker and more atheletic roster that could keep up with his pace....then he'd do better.
But I have seen ( too many times ) Ford dribble into the paint, avoid the Players defending the paint, but as he's headed out of bounds....he leaps THEN LOOKING for a Player to pass it to. Sometimes...he's able to find someone to pass it to.....most of the times....he ends up throwing it away. IMHO, he has a tendency to commit himself to trying to "create for others" before knowing how he's actually going to do it.
Again....I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Watson kept the Starting Spot and Ford being the 1st PG off the bench. With the way that JO'Bs offense runs......I really think that if it was more deliberate and controlled instead of more flashy and unpredictable....it would run a lot more efficiently.
