Mike Conley SUCKS

MIke Conley won me over during the 2007 NCAA tournament. There were games during that Ohio State run when Conley was amazingly clutch and one of the best players in the entire tournament. Truth be told he may have been better served from a basketball development standpoint if he had stayed in school. Had he stayed in school this would be his senior year.

He certainly wouldn't be the first guy to take 4 or 5 years to become a productive NBA player. Does he suck now? Probably, but using the standard being applied to Conley you would conclude that Rush and HIbbert suck also. I would consider a trade of Rush and Ford for Conley and Jaric.

I'll agree with you on the Rush thing, but not Hibbert. Hibbert shows a lot of promise and has progressed nicely. In addition I think (and this is only my opinion) that he is one of the best players on the team, and is only going to get better. NOTHING like Conley.

My point in comparing HIbbert, Rush and Conley is that they are all three young and painfully inconsistent. I know there are nights when both Hibbert and Rush are difficult to watch but I haven't written either of them off. Conley is even younger than Rush and Hibbert, its to early to write off him off too. Not at age 21.

I was actually watching the game, just waiting to get on here today and see people freaking out Conley's game. He looked good last night. I'll admit that. But I won't fall into the trap of thinking we should chase him and tab him as our PG of the future until he's consistently playing like he did last night. There's a reason his averages are what they are. Inconsistency.

I agree he is so overrated why wouldnt Hollins threaten him with his starting spot.
One thing ill say is that he doesnt take many shots in a team filled with players that want atleast 18 shots a game.

Conley got the better of his matchups with Ford and Watson. I think even now he would be a slight upgrade over what the Pacers have at the point.
