Do we need something like this to happen in order for Bird to fire O'brien?
I'd be surprised if Vinny stays in Chicago. Maybe we should do this on purpose to get rid of O'brien!

As much as I would absolutely LOVE for O'Brien to get the boot, the reality of things is he just got a 1 year extension before the season started. He's not going anywhere this season, regardless of how bad we play. Unless Bird is literally FORCED to fire O'Brien, he'll be taking a knee on his stupid towel in front of the scorer's table for a while longer.

I'm sure Bird can take over now. Keep paying O'brien because he has to, but take over the duties.
How ridiculous was that Kings comeback though?
Jesus. The Pacers (and other teams) should watch that game and learn to play with passion and heart for an entire game.

Don't kill me, but I honestly think the Kings have more talent on their roster than we do.
Reke Evans
Jason Thompson
Spencer Hawes
Kevin Martin
Donte Greene
Omri Casspi
are all pretty underrated young players in my opinion. Evans isn't really underrated, but you get what I'm saying. If they can keep their core of young guys together for a few years and add a veteran of two I could see them making the playoffs by 2012

I don't think Bird will fire O'brien during the season unless he loses control of the team the way Rick Carlisle did. We might replace him after the season but I think he's save til then.
As for the Bulls they're loaded with talent but they're gonna have to make some changes to get better.

WIth a healthy lineup,
I'd say we're just as good.
And I'd argue that we're
deeper.
On the game:
The plays that stuck out
in my mind, after watching
the highlights of this game
at ESPN.com, was Sergio
Rodriguez finding an OPEN
Ime Udoka TWICE for treys.
KInd of made my mouth
water for a PG like that
since, if that were our game,
I'm pretty sure TJ Ford
would have been taking
shots himself rather
than setting-up people.
Good win for SAC. I'm pretty
envious.

I dunno about a better roster. Ithink if we rid ourselves of the coach, slash tjs minutes down to 10-15 and ask for more out of our higher priced players, better results would be on the horizon. Interesting to see how kings perform when martin comes back though

I just like watching that Kings starting lineup. They're a looooooong team. 6'6 or whatever Evans is, is the shortest guy there.
Can't believe how it's possible for Chicago to give up that lead though. There's a lot of problems in Chicago right now.

I smell a tank job. During the third quarter the Bulls' front office probably got a promise from Stern that they could have the first pick again in next summer's draft.

After hearing from a couple Bulls fans on a different site, it seems like they have the same problem that we do. They're a team best suited for an up-tempo style, but their coach has them trying to play a half-court offense. Del Negro and O'Brien are currently running neck and neck for anti-Coach of the Year.
