Tough break for Feisty. He clearly hasn't looked like himself this season, so hopefully, he can get his back fixed and come back strong.

Looks like Foster is done for the season. Well he hasn't played since Dec 19th so is he gonna be able to play next season? If not 12/19/2010 we could put in for the injury insurance and get his last year 80% paid by the legal insurance, and doesn't he come off the Luxury Tax at that point. I don't know is his contract insured?

I don't know when I signed up for this, but I just received a Pacer's Insider email stating that Foster is having surgery and missing the remainder of the season.

The Indiana Pacers announced Monday that veteran forward/center Jeff Foster will undergo surgery after the All-Star break for continued lower back pain. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season, but is also expected to make a full recovery and be ready for training camp this fall.
The 6-11 Foster has played in 16 games this season, starting three, and averaged 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 points per game. The 10-year veteran is fourth in Pacers’ history in games-played for the franchise with 697.

Props to granger05 for finding HARD EVIDENCE.
Yes, FWF, you were right, but you need to seriously tone down the gloating. You did absolutely nothing to substantiate your claim, and then you act like you're awesome after someone else does legwork. Porter was less giddy when he picked off Manning.

No big deal boys. Giving each other a little noise is part of the fun? Isn't it?

Re: Shoulda Traded Foster?
Well, a healthy Jeff next yr only enhances his value, especially West teams who need to defend the Bynums, Paus, and Timmys of the world. Jeff gets the surgery, fully recovers, and does what he does early next yr, he'll still be in play come the 2011 deadline. But I actually like this. If we make the playoffs by some miracle next season, I'd want Jeff to play on our team, just from a sentimental POV. If not, we can move Jeff to chase a title to any number of contenders and actually drive up the price btwn WC contenders to see what they'll give for a premier interior defender who seems to be a favorite of all coaches that talk about him.
Then, title or not, he can come back to Indy, get that job in the front office, and live happily ever after in Nap.
