What are we doing?
Are we signing a pg or are we just gonna let Lance Stephenson take over at pg? I'm confused because I thought that we were looking to sign Farmar to help us out. I have seen nothing online about us pursuing a talented pg to help us next season. If you guys could provide some links to any other rumors about the pacers then that would be greatly appreciated.

Now that DeBrosh has landed in Miami a lot of free agents will start to pick and choose their destinations. Randy Foye just signed with LAC, so there is another PG off the board.

They'll sign (or trade for) somebody. No way they go into the season with just Ford and a 19-year-old converted two guard.
We'll have to wait for the one-hour ESPN special to find out who.

Two things come into play now or will within the next 7 days as players pick their destinations.
1. Team losing out on the big name free agents will try and use remaining resources to try again next summer, although no big name will be available.
However
2. Much like how New York began the whole LeBron sweepstakes nearly 3 years ago, the next biggest sweepstakes will be coming in 2012 when Dwight Howard hits the free agent market and teams again can vie for him amongst other big names as well. Wanting expiring deals could come as early as this year and the Pacers could stand to benefit.

Yeah i was wondering the same thing. I thought for sure that we would pick up a starting point guard this offseason but now i don't really know.
A couple of guys that have been mentioned to going to Pacers were Foye (now a Clipper) and Felton (who looks to be going to the Knicks, maybe) so more point guards keep going.

From the Star,
"The Pacers continue to dangle their expiring contracts in front of teams in an attempt to find [a point guard].
What has changed, though, is they no longer desire two point guards.
Stephenson's play in summer league helped change Pacers officials' minds. "

Re: What are we doing?
I'm just really glad we're not getting in this ridiculous summer market.
Rudy Gay? Drew Gooden? JJ Redick? Kyle Korver? Travis Outlaw? All those guys getting paid well over $5 million a year for at least 3 years, and then Gay getting max money? What the hell is wrong with these executives?!?
