Everyone knows Kyle Korver is hands-down THE best SF not named Lebron James.

Melo? Durant?

Granger is better than both. He's definitely better than Melo. Granger/Durant is a good debate. I hope Granger gets to play with a good team before his career is over. Then I think people will truly see how good he is on both ends of the court.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

We all begged JO to stop playing EVERY summer as it wore his body out ridiculously quick. I'm going to hop on Danny before it becomes an issue.
6'11 Center who had been in the NBA since he was 17 vs. a 27 year old 6'7 Guard / Forward. I hope you're seeing what im getting at. Its not nearly as bad for Granger to be taking the extra pounding as it was for O'Neal.

Reggie also got injured playing for team USA and it caused him to miss training camp and some of the regular season. I don't think it was with the second Dream Team, but at the World Championships here in Indy.

Reggie is 6'7" by the way, and Granger is 6'9". The problem seems to be when these guys play year- round for two or three consecutive seasons, not allowing the body to rest. Body parts begin to breakdown.

Didn't Danny miss nearly 20 games this past season with a sprained knee? Despite the position, he's taken a bit of a beating as well.

I'm all for a guy playing for his country, but I'm ok if he get's cut. I'd also prefer that if he plays this off-season, that Kobe, LeBron, etc. all come riding in next summer or two summers from now and take Danny's roster spot.

I'm pretty sure he sprained it around Thanksgiving this past year. Or was that the MCL issue?

Either way, he's got a couple of "excessive use" type injuries. The type of stuff that heals only from pure rest.

I think Granger is underrated, He might not be on the same tier as Durant and LeBron are in, but he's close to that.

Granger thinks he may have dislocated his right ring finger on the rim, going to get an x-ray today

I'm thinking this might just put an end to his hopes of making the final 12.

It can if he gets hurt.

yes this is true, but he's gonna be playin basketball wether he's on the olymic team or not, there's just as good of chance of him gettin hurt if he's not on the team...with this said "knock on wood" we don't wanna jinx him.

So, after reading the headline, did anyone instantaneously join me on this train?

It's a good thing trains can't talk, cause otherwise that one called Grangerous could be in the negative books.

Injuries happen... you can make plans, take less risks, but it's just one of those things that happens. It sucks, but I'm not ever gonna say he shouldn't have tried to make this team. I just hope it doesn't keep him out long. Or he may just have to tape that bad boy to his pinkie or middle finger and get used to it for a season.
