With the way we've played last several years, you'd think being atop of the division, even early on, would be something to be proud of, but we've all been down that road before....

2006/07 started 3-1 then lost 3 of 4 and finished 35-47
2007/07 started 3-0 then lost 6 in a row and finished 36-46

Chicago's probably going to get it. We play Milwaukee on Friday and that'll be a statement game, followed up by Denver and then Houston. At least we'll be entertaining visitors. If we can win 2 of those next three games, I will be ecstatic.

Yeah, take care of business tonight, get two of the next three and to quote Tony Dungy we might be moving from coincidence to trend.

I think you have a very promising team going forward...it is a shame that in the last years you have been mediocre, rather than to have one or 2 bad seasons and high draft picks. The core of Collison, George, Granger and Hibbert looks great in years to come. With a future PF you are on right way.

Last year we were like 5-3 to start. Our loss was a substantial defeat to the Spurs and the Bulls barely lost to OKC on the road and without Boozer. We're probably the 2nd/3rd team in this divison pending George/Rush contributions.

Well true, but, they started 0-3, then won 5 in a row, and then lost 4 in a row.

Point taken. I think the lesson is, lets not look at the standings again until December 1st, even that is early, but thats the earliest i'd look.

So, Pacers sucked last year because of Troy Murphy? Got it.

The better example you could have used that would have made more sense is... "with JOB".... but, they still have him this year so i guess that doesn't work in your favor, so Troy Murphy made more sense.

I think I've made it pretty clear before that I hated Troy Murphy.

Troy Murphy was not that good. His production was always inflated. An oversized specialist given too many minutes, if you ask me.

Still, he was an ND guy and I still wish him well.

I do see your point, but last season the Pacers style just enhanced his deficiencies.

What I mean is, if he has decent defensive help around him, then he wouldn't be such a black hole.

Troy is a fading shooting star. Glad he's back home in Jersey. Maybe he can hook up with snookie.
