One of my stupider ideas...

Post#1 » by writerman » Fri Nov 12, 2010 2:07 am

and I haven't been to the trade checker...

Please be gentle...lol

Miami, it is painfully obvious, needs a legit PG to attempt to deal with the PGs that have been ripping them a new one. We have T.J. Ford, a spare part in the way of a potentially very good backup point in the person of A. J. Price. Ford previously played with Bosh now a member of the Heat.

Have I been dropping acid, or is there at least a twisted sort of logic there?

Miami stripped itself of payroll to sign the stars. I agree that sending TJ anywhere would be good. I just don't know if you can find anything that would work in the checker.

I thought of tradin him to Miami during the off-season. People said he wouldn't fit. I think he would. Last year he was awful at shooting 3's, but his career 3PT% is .300. That number would be higher if not for shooting 16% last season. Arroyo is a 32% career 3 point shooter and Mario Chalmers is a 34% career 3pt shooter. Niether of them are much better shooters and if an injury happens TJ can atually control the game. Niether Arroyo or Chalmers have proved they can.

I don't think there's anything they can send back that would match. Besides, they need a 3 pt shooter - they've got James and Wade to handle the ball most of the time. They need a Steve Kerr type, or, oddly enough, even just a Boobie Gibson.

A) I don't want to help the Miami Heat never ever ever.

B) All their contracts are bad.

Miami does not have alot have alot of salary to trade for him. The best we could probably do is release Ford and get the set off.

Miami will also get Miller back soon and is not in dire need of outside shooting.
