Cody Zeller is going to...

Post#1 » by Indy2thaWindy » Fri Nov 12, 2010 2:29 am

Cody Zeller chooses IU over Butler and UNC. Smart or Dumb?

I think Butler will be the better team and he would definitely get PT. He wouldn't get much time at UNC with his brother there. IMO, Butler would have been his best choice, but I'm not him.

Smart. Crean is a great teacher of the game and develops many players for the NBA, and he will use Zeller as a primary go-to player in Indiana, while in UNC he would have been surrounded by players and any slump, it would limit his touches. On a personal level, at UNC, he would just be one of many, while at IU he will be a cult hero. If he has success, he will become one of the most popular people in the entire state.

You could say the same for Butler while having a wing scorer in Mack and another big in Howard.

Hopefully will bring Indiana back to importance. Butler just never really gets big name recruits.

The fact Butler is in consideration tells you the times are changing.

Either IU or Butler would 've been a great choice.

As an IU fan, Im thrilled he choose IU. After the past few years, Cody is just what IU needs

Is Matt Howard a Junior or Senior this year? Because if he's a Senior than Butler probably wouldn't be as good of a choice for Zeller as IU is.

Either way, I'm glad he stayed in Indiana. Crean desperately need this one. For Butler's it's more of a luxury, because they haven't built their program with "those type of guys".

Butler has Chrishawn Hopkins, He should be good. Anybody see the Ohio State game. Deshaun Thomas is the next Carmelo. I said it first.
