Anybody going to be keeping a special eye on him during this game?
Just his second start of the year apparently but when he's actually gotten the minutes, he's done fairly well. With the pending lockout, that might make it tougher to sign certain guys mentioned frequently on this board - David West and Nene - who (I think) would both have to opt out of their contracts to be UFA's, which if there is a lockout likely won't happen. So Thompson becomes more likely via a trade.
There was the blurb on the RealGM wiretap about Sacramento needing a PG, which automatically points to TJ Ford. Considering Sacramento's logjam consisting of Dalembert, Greene, Whiteside, Landry, Cousins, Thompson is believed to be the most expendable (although hopefully Cousins doesn't leapfrog him in that department thanks to his A-hole attitude.)
I don't think I've ever watched him play in real-time, so it will be interesting to see how he does, especially considering his "eh" matchup against McBob/Hansbrough/Solo.

Re: Jason Thompson
Ford is definitely increasing his value, and maybe Bird does him a favor by allowing him to go to a situation where he'd get enough minutes to earn another decent contract.
Doesn't Tyreke manage the ball for Sacramento?
I'd like to approach Minnesota with all the uncertainty surrounding Flynn, or Charlotte again. Ford might actually have a little more value to them.

Re: Jason Thompson
Did not see the game so how did he (Thompson) look against our front court?
Since Landry is a FA and Thompson is starting I think it may be Landry that Sac moves.
If we trade for a young 4 I like JT and Serge Ebaka (who would be much harder to get I think, and maybe Ekpe Udoh, anxious to get a look at him.

They're not doing SUPER well. McBob is still raw and in foul trouble, and Hansbrough is buried on the depth chart, despite the positivity in his play.

Re: Jason Thompson
The thing about McBob and Hansbrough is that when they're out there (especially alongside someone like Solo), there is zero offensive presence down low. Then, defenses can lock down on the wings and really limit us.
Hansbrough is getting there but McBob is an offensive liability and gets in foul trouble pretty often.

Hansbrough looks worn out after 4-5 minutes of game time. He expends a lot of energy to do what he does. I don't think that he can play more minutes than he is.
Anyone else notice this?
By the way, coming into the draft I loved me some Larry Sanders - 8 blocks on Wednesday night. Pacers could use that at the 4 next to Roy.
