Griz up 12. 13-0 run Pacers missed 8 in a row.

Lol. Slack on radio said "we should put Roy down low"...JOB puts him on the bench instead. Puts S Jones on Zach. gonna get ugly like this.

This is bull. We gotta play defense and rebound. They were missing some shots that we just didn't gather. I continue to lobby for Foster/Hansbrough over Posey off the bench for the 4.

I'm with you on that Miller.

Rush brought um back, two big threes!
Nice contribution by TJ.

I think we take too many threes. It's nice when we sink them, but we're not a good team at all. We're 14th in the league in that aspect, on many more attempts than teams above us. Our offense is just inefficient.

It would also help if Roy was doing better. This offense looked below average today, and the Grizzlies shot well. Tough loss against another young team, especially giving up a home game.

Obie continues to make abysmally poor use of his personnel...his rotations are inconsistent and make no sense...

Get Posey and Ford the hell out of there...use Foster, use TH, use Price...all Obie is trying to do is save his job (and doing a poor job even of that, IMO) to the detriment and contrary best interests of the developing player and the team.

Larry, you need to fire this guy!!!

Flipping the minutes for Posey and Tyler would be best.. 8-12 minutes is long enough for Posey. In ~9 minutes Tyler was 6/4 with 3 offensive rebounds..3! .. granted a couple were attempted tips but still extra chances.

Foster needs to play when and as long as he can. Still a solid player most nights.

I want to see PG back in the lineup and maybe Posey in the suit. The team just looked better when all the young guys were getting good minutes.

I was at this one.

After a while, they just seemed to have an 11-point hump they couldn't get over. Roy finally got going a little bit. But JOB's rotation still stumps me. Apparently McBob is the best way to go starting the game at the 4. Fine. So why does he play only 7 minutes and apparently not really be hurt? (That I could tell.)

Hansbrough does some nice things with the 8 or so minutes he had...and sits. Solo actually has a solid game with 4-6 shooting and a handful of disruptions and rebounds. Only plays 12 minutes.

And at the end when we had to play catch-up in a hurry, the lineup primarily was:
Granger (fine)
T.J. Ford whose "veteran leadership" that JOB so dearly loves down the stretch doesn't work
Dunleavy who had been on the bench forever and had an off-night anyway
Posey who was missing everything and getting eaten alive by Gasol/Randolph
Jeff Foster...like the guy but when trying to play catchup...really?

Silver lining - one loss closer to this clown not being back next year.

I tried showin Dunleavy some love, but when he shot that airball me and my brother started booin his azz off. Tyler played good when he was in. He should be gettin 20 minutes a night. posey couldn't hit. and his defense on Randolph

If O'Brien gets an extension, I'm gonna have to take some time off from watchin the Pacers. That man can't coach.

I agree with your assessment of the ending lineups with the exception of Foster. Ideally mine would be:

Collison-he shoots better than Ford, and passes equally, if not better. He is young, but can make more things happen.

Rush-he might not pass as well as Dunleavy, but he shoots better FG% and MUCH better from beyond, and he can defend, which is equally important when closing out opponents. I would take his defense over Dunleavy's creativity and off-the-ball play for a finisher. I don't care if Dunleavy starts.

Granger-Even though you can knock him for his late-game tendency to disappear, he is still a threat and with Collison on the floor it takes some of the pressure off of him.

Hansbrough/Foster/McBob/Solo-Basically anybody not Posey. They can all defend the 4 better, and they are all more offensively capable than the 3 who's pretending to be a 4 whilst shooting 37% from the floor. As for his 3-point threat, just insert McBob. He shoots 39% from deep, which is better than Posey's 37% overall, and they take the same type of 3-pointer: wide open spot-up.

Hibbert-He's in a slump, but he's still the best C on the roster BY FAR.

You guys should really try the drinking game where you drink every time our team misses a layup. Makes the game much more enjoyable to watch.

You get drunk faster if you play the drinking game when we miss 3's. Or when we foul somebody. Or when James Posey's man scores.

I am glad to see the love for Tyler. He is our best PF and should be depended on as such.

Obie is similar to Carlisle in that he likes to favor the vets, but it only works if the vets are actually good. See: Detroit/Dallas/Boston/Philly

We need a coach who is ready to grow with this young team in transition. The fact that we are stunting the growth of our team, for the sake of a bunch of vets on their way out the door, pisses me off tremendously.

It is obvious Collison doesn't understand Jim's phylosophy on offense. I side with DC. Let him run our offense and get the F*#! out of the way Jim. Otherwise we should've kept Murphy, atleast he can hit threes and add some rebounding.

Reggie never stood around the perimeter. Most of his offense began deep in the paint, coming of the Davis bros. superb screening abilities. We need more variety and movement.

Looking at Posey's shot selection our imbalance becomes alarmingly apparent because 85% of his shots are threes. We can't have that out of the post.

Jim needs to pull the red light on the whole damn team.

Posey's shot selection is horrible then. He is only 33% from 3. Anything less than 1.2 points per attempt is not efficient (the bottom third of the NBA in PPA is below 1.2) and he is at 1 even. The Pacers are at 1.19. The easiest way to increase this number is the GET TO THE FREE THROW LINE.

Let me sum up. JOB SUK or perhaps... another blo...JOB

Dude just can't coach. I am NOT an expert but he FREQUENTLY exasperates me in a way I never felt while watching teams coached by :

Slick Leonard, Red Auerbach, Bobby Knight, Gene Keady, Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Larry Brown, Mike Brown, Larry Bird, Rick Carlisle, Brad Stevens etc. etc. ever does.

I just can not find the guys page.

WHY are we always chucking when we have average shooters??
WHY do we play old threes at the 4 when we have better players who NEED the minutes??
WHY do promising young players get NO I repeat NO minutes???
WHY do we not post up when we have size advantage??
WHY do we not bench guys who play lazy D??
Why do plays called after time outs look haphazard??

I have always just took these elements of fundamental basketball as needing no thought ...and now pretty often I scream WTH is that ??!!!
