I thought about it. His pick-and-roll old school style is really good.

I would think he's probably done with coaching right now. If anything, he might be asked to take a front office job in Chicago.

One of his teammates in those Bulls days was named Bob Boozer. It's almost interesting.

over Obie, yes. over Vogel, I think I'll go with youth. Jerry is probably just too old school to relate to the youngest players.

He had massive support from their late owner and their GM who always made sure to get the players that fit in his system. I don't think Sloan could even work on another team by starting over. As said before, he's too old school, and the style he plays, is seen very rarely around the league. If Sloan was ever to come back, i think it'd be for some absolute bottom feeder, like Cleveland, if Byron Scott quit and Cavs send a truck load of money Sloan's way.

When the Jazz owner died, Sloan lost one major supporter in Utah and things started to go downhill.

Wait...when has the pick-and-roll and defense been too old school? Vogel's throwing it back and we've had success with that.

I understand him being too out of of touch, though. I think that's a real possibility. He probably wants to stay away for good, though. He'll definitely want a break, at which point he might just decide to never come back.

After seeing the Pacer's response to a young, positive voice I'm thinking young team/young coach. Just like Dantahy Jones is going to be hard to take out of the rotation it looks like Frank Vogel is going to be hard to replace.

I like what Frank is doing with the team so no reason to look elsewhere till we see how this one season ends, and I agree with Scoot Id said Jerry is done with coaching and if he's wanting to stay in the game it would most likely be in the front office somewhere.
