2011 Draft Discussion
Just played around with Chad Ford's mock draft machine and we ended up with Jimmer Freddette at 11. I never really even thought about drafting him, but he does interest me. I can definitely see the comparisons to Stephen Curry, and the guy can just flat out score. Is anyone else interested in possibly drafting the guy. I'm saying this out of the assumption that we pick up a PF via free agency (David West, Carl Landry, etc.).

^^^ Yeah Charlotte moved ahead by mere hundredths of a percent.
I don't have a keen interest in Freddette, and feel that even with the loss of Dunleavy, we'll still have enough wings. I'd prefer BKnight over Jimmer if we went guard.

Re: 2011 Draft Discussion
I don't think we really have any glaring needs, assuming we can pick up a PF in a pre-deadline trade or free agency, so I'd go with whomever we consider the best available prospect when we pick. Brandon Knight's production looks good. He could be a nice pickup, especially if he can either be morphed into a point guard, or measures out well enough not to be considered significantly undersized for a SG (6'4", big wingspan, etc.). Alec Burks looks like a solid SG, too. I wouldn't mind taking him in the mid-to-late teens.

Yes, I'm sure we all prefer Brandon Knight, but without a top 7 pick we aren't coming anywhere near him.

I don't think Knight will be a top 7 pick, but pretty close, and you're right, we still won't get close to him. Might as well try to package our pick with something and get someone one. Some big names out there that can he had.

I do think we need to look at the point guards that are coming out,and a backup at center, but I dont think it would hurt to trade this pick for a future 1st round pick either
