I sure don't see why you goes think Jefferson won't fit here. to me he's perfect. not that Milsap wouldn't be an improvement too.

saw Slick in the concession area before the game and asked him if he was upset we didn't get those trades done. he said "no." I agreed and he added, "we need a big time player."

I am very impressed with Utah's roster right now. The package they got from NJ was a windfall for them, especially if they hit on the picks from NJ (11' 1st) and Minny (12' 1st).

It looked to me like Milsap got more done against McRoberts than Hansbrough. From a strength perspective Milsap/Jefferson v McRoberts/Hibbert was a serious mismatch. In a nutshell that mismatch was game set and match. Roy needs a bruiser next to him and that will never be McRoberts. You might like what the pair brings offensively but defensive and rebounding a lot of teams will just kill them as was the case tonight.

Granger needed scoring help from someone and Rush, George and Hansbrough just weren't there. As we start to see better teams it will be interesting to see if this will be the norm or if this was just a bad one.

This game was a text book example of how to beat the Pacers right now. We simply do not have the strength inside to compete with this type of team. Short term we're going to lose most of these unless we just happen to shoot lights out.

Long term we need some strength inside.
A real good back up 5 that likes to body up.

Someone like Okafor or Delembert (resigned cheaper) would be great, with West at the 4 spot.

Or Nene' could fill both holes pretty well.

Might cost us a lot of cash but we don't have to give up Granger to get them.

34% shooting or whatever it was is an aberration. We were getting looks early and missing those created a loss of confidence.

They also got all the 50-50 balls. Just watching the last 5 minutes of the game and seeing how many times the Pacers made a serious effort to get loose balls that just ended up in Utah's hands, you could tell that it just wasn't a good day. And I don't blame the Pacers because the positioning wasn't bad, they were just unlucky bounces.

I'm not a huge fan of Hansbrough compared to what I've read here, but I will say that his defense is very solid, he doesn't wow anyone with great blocks, but he plays physical and crashes the boards. I wouldn't put him on someone with the sole purpose of him shutting them down because that's just not reasonable, but you can count on him to play hard and make it difficult for his man.
If i had a real complaint about Tyler, it would be on the offensive end. He takes alot of bad looking shots and seems to kind of be a black hole at times. He comes in for 5 minutes and after he comes out, he has the most shot attempts on the team. Fortunately he's been very reliable from the foul line so that makes this a little bit more manageable, but I would like to see a guy like PG get some more looks (no bias here OBVIOUSLY  ). I dont think he is the long term answer as a starter, but I view him like a younger Jeff Foster with a better offensive game.

Yesterday was a game that we really should've won. Al Jefferson really killed us, and no one besides McRoberts for a time really stood out at me.
