Re: Pacers vs. Suns
Ouch, tough loss. Another L against a +.500 team. Sadly, just further validation that we were getting a bit too excited about beating bad teams. Need to bounce back against GS on Tuesday or else we're looking at a possibly 4 game losing streak heading to OKC. Nothing like a little pessimism.
We are now tied with Charlotte at 26-32. Technically we have the tiebreaker but still worth mentioning.

Re: Pacers vs. Suns
I think Lance played well in his 4 minutes getting 2 assists compared to Price who had 1 assist in 24 minutes ( though he did make shots today ).
The Suns 4 spot didnt do much until OT where Frye had 7 points ( he plays the 4 doesnt he? ) and he also had 10 boards for the game.
And Grant Hill.. Now that was a trip down memory lane. He has looked good this season.
Someone needs to teach McRoberts how to rebound.. He had 2 going into OT and ended with 3.. 1 rebound every 10 minutes.

Re: Pacers vs. Suns
Frank should have Paul shoot nothing but midrange shots, it's like layups for him. Rush needs to penetrate more. And finally Price and Dahntey need to start deferring to Paul and Tyler on the second unit.
Regardless of Price's game today, we have suffered through way too many bad games to get to this point. His inability to be a pg and distribute is like having a pf that can't rebound and defend in the post. These attributes go hand-n-hand with the position. If he is just a sg, then he is about our 5th or 6th best option.

Well said, agreed on both points. I just want Paul to shoot more in general. Don't forget that when he first started getting minutes he was shooting very well from 3 and he has a good stroke, so I'm not concerned about his lower 3pt% as of late.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but it sounds like a heartbreaker.
Looking at the box score - silver lining ---> Roy, Darren, McBob, and Paul all had quiet games and we still managed to take a hot team to overtime and lost at the buzzer.
I just hope that the honeymoon period under Vogel isn't over and losing starts getting into the heads of their players. Hopefully we're headstrong enough to push past.

Silver lining? Roy stunk it up and McRoberts had 3 points 2 rebounds going into OT.
The bench is what allowed the Pacers to stay in the game and make the comeback. Danny was the only starter who did anything on offense but stunk it up on defense.

Re: Pacers vs. Suns
^^^ Yep, silver lining. Our bench kept us in the game when needed because 4 of our 5 starters were off (even Rush's 11 points came on 3-9 shooting.) So, it shows that if our starters aren't clicking, the bench is there and we're not completely screwed. So if we can manage to consistently get our starters playing well and balanced, in addition to a great bench attack (51 points tonight), we'll be in even better shape.
I know, kind of a reach, but I'm having a good day...so the glass is half-full.

I think it is safe to say Lance can play better than Price. Make him the second pg.

Wiretap - Vogel: Stephenson Will Play For Pacers 'Soon'

I can't wait.
Pacers interim coach Frank Vogel says that rookie guard Lance Stephenson will play for the team "soon."
Indiana drafted Stephenson with the 40th overall pick in last June's NBA Draft.
He has yet to play in a game this season.

Re: Pacers vs. Suns
in the first half Lance played about the last three minutes of the first quarter and the first three of the second quarter. in the second half Price came in at the same spot. perhaps the plan was to bring Lance in after five minutes but Price shot us back into the game and not only did Lance not return but DC stayed on the bench too.
I really don't see how you guys are blaming AJ for those turnovers. my seatmates and I blame Vogel. he needed another scorer on the floor. granted the AJ, Rush, Danny, Josh and Jeff lineup is what got us in the game but we didn't need to stick with it completely. some offense/defense substitutions at the end of the game and in over time were needed. too many times if Danny wasn't able to get loose we had no option other than an AJ drive into trouble. and with 3.5 seconds to go I said at the time out, don't let Frye beat you with a jump shot. he did.
my seatmate left saying we were out coached and Vogel really isn't ready to be the coach next year. I'm not ready to go that far but he did get an easy stretch of games to start with and it's much tougher going forward. we'll see what happens.

Phoenix is one of those teams (along with Atlanta) that has had our number for a long time.

I was honestly expecting Hansbrough to play the OT period.
