Are we missing Dunleavy?
This guy has stats that say yes?

we certainly need more games and in particular more winning games to say it is a trend but is it possible that Mike's injury has not been the blessing many of you expected?

There's a lot of his game that is not missed, but that in-rhythm shot from a screen and his 3 point scoring are sorely needed.

We're missing playing teams 10 games below .500. That's what we're missing.

We ,iss his ability to stretch the floor as his range seems to be respected more than Rush and George (although I ma not sure Dun is a better shooter than Rush).
More than anything I believe it is quality of opponent related. We struggle against anyone who defends the ball well as we lack players that can create. If you trap Collison we are in big trouble.

We did just fine w/o him to start the season.

We could lose every game the rest of the season, and I'll never miss Dunleavy.

No,it's just time for George and Rush to step up,the only part of Dunleavy's game we might miss is he can stretch to floor and help Hibbert, but so can Rush, and George and we aint winning a title this year so it's best to let them show what they can do.

Re: Are we missing Dunleavy?
yes, it is time to let the youngsters show what they can do, but early returns suggest that we'd win more games down the stretch with a healthy Mike. I wouldn't mind a bit if Charlotte and Milwaukee both go around us, but unlike Windy I'd like to see Mike back next year at the right price.

It was the fact that our offense doesn't stop when he's on the floor. With Rush and George, who can still be indecisive, the offense encounters more hiccups.

Re: Are we missing Dunleavy?
He picked the perfect time to get injured, right before we start playing decent to top teams.
If we only played the Nets, T-Wolves, Cavs, Pistons, and Wizards, we wouldnt even think about missing him.
and Unleavy is not a better anything than PG and when Brandon is playing well, same for him. The lack of D is too much to handle as well.

Mike would disappear against the better teams. His best games were against the Cavs, Wizards, and Nets.
I can only think of two things that I miss from Mike: backdoor cuts and entry passes to the post.

Check this out, from Marc Stein -

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the Pacers had advanced trade discussions last month with New Orleans on a swap that would have sent Dunleavy to the Hornets. But the teams never came to final terms on a trade before Dunleavy suffered a fractured left thumb Feb. 22 that required surgery, sidelining him for 6-8 weeks and thus squelching any remaining hope he had for a trade in the final year of a contract paying him $10.6 million this season.

Re: Are we missing Dunleavy?
I dont miss anything about Unleavy. Not his fighting of teamates for rebounds, not his more oft than not poor shooting games, not his "Ugh, I was wide open guys!" looks when he doesnt get the ball, even if we scored on that trip down court, not his "invisible" defense(Unleavy seems to think that not playing D will psych his opponents out so bad they will miss shots, wrong,) not his unathleticism, not a damn thing about him, besides him moving without the ball and not being stagnant, thats it. I hope he goes and plays far far away from us after this year.
jnzook's favorite player depth chart:
Deron Williams/Kyrie Irving/George Hill
Paul George/Jeremy Lamb
LeBron James/Danny Granger/Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Dirk Nowitzki/David West
Roy Hibbert/DeMarcus Cousins

Re: Are we missing Dunleavy?
Dunleavy broke his thumb on purpose, just to mess with us.
