If you guys think you have gotten the short end of the officiating stick, you're simply delusional. Game 1 and 2 were called solidly in the Pacers favor, and game 3 wasn't even close.
In game 3, all three charges in the first half were called incorrectly, and all three went the Pacers way. The first Derrick Rose charge should have been a blocking foul and and 1 opportunity. Watch the tape, the defender slid late and was still sliding when Rose ran into him- not even close to a charge. The McRoberts and1 should have been a charge. Asik jumped BACKWARDS and McRoberts shoved him off with his left forearm, yet they called the foul on Asik. The second Derrick Rose charge wasn't even close. Dunleavy got there late, never set his feet, continued to slide, and then fell backwards before Derrick Rose even made contact with him yet still got the call. Both Foster hard fouls should have been flagrants and were not called as such, which the league stepped in to correct the next day. Dahntay Jones took a close-fisted haymaker swing at CJ Watson chasing him up court and the refs were reluctant to even call that a foul. Should have been a technical at least if not a flagrant foul. The Hibbert offensive foul was not only the correct call, but Hibbert dragged his pivot foot about 3 feet across the floor before even attempting the shot, so either way Bulls ball was the right call in that case. The AJ Price three free throw foul? Please. Bush league flopping.
Those are just a few specific calls, but that doesn't even take into account the disparity with what the Pacers are being allowed to do on defense compared to what the Bulls are being allowed to do. If a Pacer drives and gets contact the trend has been to automatically call a foul on the Bulls. At the other end, the Pacers are bodying and making the same amount of contact, yet being whistled far less often. The McRoberts "jump ball" was a joke. He wrapped DRose up and tried to put him on the floor and never even touched the ball. Also, EVERY screen that Roy Hibbert sets is a moving screen. Every single one. He's been called for a moving screen once the whole series. The Pacers have a tough squad, but the refs have helped them out in a big way- it's the refs keeping them in these games more than it is the players on the court. Please just don't embarrass yourselves by saying the Bulls are getting unfair calls, because it's been significantly the opposite of that.
