we're looking for a guy who can take Foster's minutes backing up Hibbert at 5 and playing along side him against big lineups.

@Starkiller

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. Here is the video:

If you watch from the 27 second point it's pretty clear that Noah establishes position, extends his elbow to box out and then McRoberts goes crazy, twice.

There's really no place in basketball for that, which is why he was thrown out of the game.

Noah is just an elbow-y player. McBob has always been kinda punkish, but I didn't expect such a blatant reaction.

Ummmm....this may sound odd...but...

Ummm....maybe you should do "non game day threads"... You know? Like...

Today is April 27-day theard....

Just saying...
--------
As for the Pacers...
Two words...
"Absorb salary"...
Land a star...and your future is bright...
Do NOT be like the old Bulls and get stuck as a 45 win, first round exit team that eventually gets capped out and falls apart because there are a bunch of "good" player...but no "stars"...

I know he isn't quite a "star"...but....Monta Ellis?
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....

I've never been a big fan of McBob. If you're going to go after a dude, you better not miss TWICE. Thankfully he wont be back with us next year because that's embarassing to watch.

Lots of things learned/to build on in this series - > We still need a starting 4 man and some more big man help in general. Hibbert has alot of room for improvement because he hurt us more than he helped us outside of game 4. Look for PG to have a substantially larger role on offense next year. To an extent, we can bring some confidence into next season after playing a very tough team and taking them as far as one can go in only 5 games.

Looking forward to the summer and next season.

ps. **** the bulls.

^^ I agree. The biggest mistake you can make is assume that your core of talented but non-superstar players can end up being anything other than NBA mediocrity.

I don't mean that as disrespect, and I can't claim I know it all about the NBA, but I've experienced both sides of the equation. If you asked me in 2004 whether I would enjoy the Bulls as a 4-8 seed team in the weaker conference that works hard to overcome talent deficiencies, I would have taken it happily. The Bulls had a core of young players (Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Chandler, Curry, Duhon, Nocioni) and it seemed like the sky was the limit. We assumed we would just keep growing better and better. But we didn't. We maxed out, and we waited too long and started to go the other way.

It was only by the grace of God that we managed to miss the playoffs in the one year that we were going to overcome all the odds and get the #1 pick with a 1.7% chance at getting it. And when we got Rose, I felt dumb for thinking any of those guys were going to be superstars. From day 1, Rose had it.

I'm kind of rambling and offering no value to the Pacers board with my Bulls ranting, so I'll bring it back on point. The point in, hope that your GM doesn't wait a year too long, because I know we got lucky doing so. I'm not saying you need a big 3, but unless you guys thing Paul George is a superstar, do not consider any of your players untouchable for a superstar. You will not win crap without one. Granger would be an amazing number 2....one of the best #2's in the league if he could get a legit superstar around him.

It might be fun to be a 4-5 seed and lose in the 1st and 2nd round a couple of times in a row but after that it just sucks. So keep tinkering until you get to where you need to be. I think this team's ceiling as constructed is 50 wins and a 2nd round appearance. Use that cap space nicely nad make the right moves and you have a ton of the pieces in place for a championship roster.

Oh and thank you for being physical and throwing elbows around. I don't necessarily call them cheap shots. None of them where pre-ordaned, none of them were intended (I dont think) to injure a player. They were just physical basketball plays. You clearly got in our heads at some points, and somehow taught us a little bit about playoff basketball. I am not sure if you will take this with pride or as a 'whatever', but you made us a better playoff basketball team by virtue of playing you. We definitely gained something by playing the Pacers, and that's something I didn't expect.

Personally my main issue with Hansbrough was the defense that was played on him.

Foster and McRoberts? Different story.

lol I definitely wouldn't call Psycho T a thug. He's a enjoyable player to watch as long as he's not playing your team.

You know what? I was wrong to categorize Psycho-T as a thug. I was remembering how he also nailed Rose in the face on the Jeff Foster hard foul from Thursday's Game 3, and I over-generalized. You're all right, he's more of an energy type player like Noah.

Jeff Foster, however, is a piece of crap. He's like Bruce Bowen in Bowen's last couple years- nothing more than cheap shots and thuggery keeping him afloat in this league. McRoberts is thuggish too, he's just not very good at it.

Worried Wizard fan who also sees some irony. Wizard fans mostly wanted Roy Hibbert on draft day and Javale went one pick later.

I'm curious as to why you'd want McGee, Boneman2. Where would he play and how would he help Indy?

If you could combine Roy and Javale, you'd have a pretty amazing player, the next best thing is to possess both of them. McGee could play with Tyler or Roy.

I would love for McGee to handle girls like Noah.
