2nd place is not bad!

Post#1 » by Solid » Tue Jan 24, 2012 3:32 am

Just savor the moment.
The season is young but with Orlando's loss tonight we are all alone in 2nd place in the Eastern conference and a solid third in the entire NBA.

Our closest rival (Orlando) we play three times in the next couple of weeks.

Go get-um boys!

Pretty sweet, imagine if we would've won the ones we should've, and played the Heat tighter. The Laker game was nice and it lessens the sting from the loss to the Heat, but I won't be able to accept the loss to Sacramento the other night. Contenders never let horrible teams off the hook like we did.

We need more quality wins.

The Pacers dominated until the 4th quarter and then only scored 8 points. We also lost to Detroit, but it was the manner in which we lost to the Kings that stings. I'll remember this particular loss for awhile, and I hope the players do to.

If we can make it intact through this next tough stretch we could legitimately keep similarish position by the end of the season.

ok? a loss is something to learn from. Every team loses and its not just to "good" teams. Orlando just got held to 56 pts last night by the Celtics.

We started out 9-7 last season. We might have been 3rd or 4th. I remember this because we were ahead of Miami (9-8). I don't know if we were ever 2nd though.

Our main competitors all have home games tonight against weaker opponants.

We are on the road against the Celtics.

It would be nice to get this one and maintain our position.
Boston played last night and had a big comeback win. They could let down.
I think we're a better team anyway.

But we still have to lace'um up and play.
