I still think he is pissed, more than he is injured.
Last chance offer before we get him for nothing.
GHill/ DCollison/ 2013 1st top 20
for
EJ/ Kaman/ Velasquez
Honestly I think GHill would jump at the opportunity for unlimited playing time. He's got about 35 games to regain the value he was building before he got here.
No offense but the trade is horrible and the Pacers would deserve to fall back into obscurity. Giving up two starting caliber point guards and playing Stephenson and Vasquez(assuming that's what you mean?) at the point is disgusting. Eric Gordon is not a point guard and by acquiring Gordon at the trade deadline, he'd still be out for another month which means our guards would be Paul George, Dahntay Jones, Lance Stephenson and Greiveis Vazquez.
The idea of landing a hometown kid clouds too many people's judgement. I swear some people wouldn't care if we go back to losing as long as we get players who grew up in Indiana or went to college in Indiana.
Fwiw, I just read the Pacers are interested in signing JR Smith. He has Brandon Rush written all over him but he's better than Rush was and we get get deeper without giving anyone up. He would take minutes from Dahntay Jones, Lance Stephenson and AJ Price on top of being better than all of them. That's win-win x100. Then just find a way to get Kaman and this team is stacked.
Darren Collison, George Hill(SG), Lance Stephenson(SG)
Paul George(SF), JR Smith(PG/SF)
Danny Granger, Dahntay Jones(SG)
David West(C), Tyler Hansbrough
Roy Hibbert, Chris Kaman, Jeff Foster(PF)
Reserves: AJ Price, Jeff Pendergraph, Louis Amundson(part of Kaman trade?)
Would be the deepest team in the NBA assuming JR Smith still has it.
