I think this is an ok - to slightly good move.
We get more scoring of the bench in Barbosa
However I don't think we should change our lineup with Hill for DC.
I still think Hill should be off the bench.
If Hill is with the bench players he is the number 1 option. If Hill is with the starters he is not the top option.

Re: Pacers got Barbosa
This is a no lose move. Adds depth with little given up. Doesn't hurt to have an additional option on the bench, especially one for offense. A lot more flexibility to move George Hill around now, too.

That's because people in Indiana have to work for a living!

Re: Pacers got Barbosa
barbosa is great scorer off the bench
he's a scorer but not simply a chucker. He attacks the basket in the same ratio he chucks up. Raptors bench was kinda bad, very little spacing, so it hurts his penetration game a bit. still a great per36 scorer...

and he's a great locker room guy lol.

He should help with those awful dryspells.
I also see DC by himself on the break way too much. If Barbosa can get a little time with Collison we could see some impressive transition basketball.

I was loving Barbosa about 4-5 yrs ago when he was in Phoenix. Does anyone think we'll be bringing him back after the season and how much would it take?

We'd have to prioritize Hill and Hibbert. Barbosa would probably fetch MLE-type money. I see us looking at a lot of options this summer so Barbosa will likely be in a new uniform come next season, but you never know.

I wouldn't expect him to be back unless he comes cheap like $3 million 2 yrs. maybe. He can likely get a better deal elsewhere.

Re: Pacers got Barbosa
It's a good thing he's an expiring contract. He'll be auditioning for the rest of the season. But if i am to choose, i'd like him to stay in Indy a couple more seasons. He's not that old, and he can still score at will. If the offense becomes stagnant, we'll just have to give him the ball.
