Game 60: Pacers @ Bucks 04/14/12, 8:30 EST

Post#1 » by Miller4ever » Sat Apr 14, 2012 11:10 pm

2nd game of 4 games in 5 nights. After that no more back-to-backs.

This team is going to be tough to beat in their house. They are coming off a win in Detroit yesterday.

Paul George and Roy Hibbert will be instrumental in this game. Let's hope we can pull it out but I also wish the best to the Bucks for the playoffs :D

Great stats for a tired team. 7 players in double figures. Bunches of rebounds.

Seeing Hibbert knocking all 6 of his end game FTs was awesome :D

Bucks had no body to bother Hib.
Were we an effective passing squad, and be properly focused - he'd have about 32 and we'd win by 18 (and got more rest for the starters).

A plan for next season.

1. Make Fez be Hibbert's training partner this summer.
2. Pick up one of the all time great passers (for only his wages).
3. Mature a bit all over.

And then ...
we can wipe the floor with them next year.
And be serious contenders.

According to another poster on the Bucks board, Hibbert was 2-9 against Sanders. No idea if it's true or not, but killing Drew Gooden isn't impressive.

good thing Scott Skiles wasn't smart enough to realize all he had to do to win the game was keep Sanders in whenever Roy was playing. :cowboy:

Let's see. According to the ESPN.com play-by-play the following happened:

1st:

3:40 Larry Sanders enters the game for Drew Gooden

3:18 Roy Hibbert misses hook shot

2:59 Louis Amundson enters the game for Roy Hibbert

2nd:

8:30 Drew Gooden enters the game for Larry Sanders

5:28 Roy Hibbert enters the game for Tyler Hansbrough

3rd:

3:02 Larry Sanders enters the game for Drew Gooden

2:40 Louis Amundson enters the game for Roy Hibbert

4th:

6:52 Roy Hibbert enters the game for Tyler Hansbrough

1:43 Roy Hibbert offensive rebound

1:43 Roy Hibbert misses layup

1:14 Roy Hibbert offensive rebound

1:14 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 1 of 2

1:14 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 2 of 2

0:42 Roy Hibbert defensive rebound

0:13 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 1 of 2

0:13 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 2 of 2

0:10 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 1 of 2

0:10 Roy Hibbert makes free throw 2 of 2

So, Hibbert was 0/2 against Larry Sanders but scored 6 points (via FTs so it was not Larry's fault) and got 3 boards (2 offensive, 1 defensive). Larry was certainly better than Gooden (and with good reason, Drew is not even a Center).

I don't want Collison to be rusty for the playoffs. We are in tight races for positioning, so the sooner he gets back, the better.

I would be lying if I said I miss Collison. I don't want him to be injured, but I'm glad George Hill is getting a better chance now to show what he can do.

I miss Collison and I think that our recent games have shown us that he is important to the team.

I haven't watched those yet. What did we miss in our recent games?
Besides bench minutes for AJ Price.

Mainly the way that DC changed the tempo.

AJ Price has been hugely ineffective. His passing is not as good and he's shot under 30% FG and under 10% 3P in the last 3 games. I'm surprised he's doing so badly because he was doing much better last year and as a rookie. Collison is actually better than some of the people on our roster.
