In the snipet blog by Mike Wells, both David West and Tyler Hansbrough are in North Carolina. Didn't say they are working out together, but one can assume if they are together in the same state, pretty good odds are that they are.
That's a veteran leader for ya, he's taking the time to work with Tyler on his game.

I don't think there is any question that the Pacers want Hansbrough to be the PF of the future.
Whether or not he develops into the starter or not remains to be seen, but I think he will get the opportunity.

Eh, unsure of if they're working out together. I would assume Tyler is living/working at at UNC in Chapel Hill, while David West went to high school about an hour away in Garner, NC. I'm guessing it's just coincidence.
I'm also guessing that Granger, George, Collison, etc aren't all working out together just because they're all in California.

Would David West be willing to spend some time working with Tyler in the offseason for the betterment of the team. Sure.
Will Tyler Hansbrough ever be a good enough player to be the starting power forward on a good team? Not so sure.

Huh, that's a little weird? I thought I read and heard that David West was a New Jersey native.

Hansbrough avg. 10 pts and 5 reb last season at just shy of 22 per game playing both PF and C on this team. His being asked to play center could be a detractor to his stat line last season, as he didn't always have Jeff Foster with him in the lineup.
That being said, there are 3 levels to accomplishment as a big.
Bronze is 10/10: If you can avg this or even threaten to avg it night after night you make yourself a quality big.
Silver is 15/8: You accomplish this you are a solid big regardless of playing time, you are solid both on offense and rebounding when you hit this level. Any team that gives Hansbrough 28-30min a night has the potential to get this out of him.
Gold is 20/10: Something very few bigs accomplish in their careers and those that do are all-stars and future hall of famers.

Born in NJ, but went to high school in Garner, NC. I'm guessing his family has stayed around there, or his wife is from around there.

Its a great idea if they are working out together. Hans could get a lot better from working out with West.

If they are working out together, great, but that doesn't make me feel anymore inclined that he's the power forward of the future. I mean if I work out with David West, am I suddenly destined to be our starting power forward?
