What the Pacers should do.

Post#1 » by Guzman_9 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 11:38 pm

We already know what free agents are on there. I feel like we need to upgrade the 4 spot and a little bit on the PG spot.

I feel like the Pacers need to resign Hibbert 5yr/$60million and Hill 4yr/$29.5million

For the 4 spot i think we should sign Jason Thompson to a 4yr/$20million.

Sign Robin Lopez to a 3yr/$8million

Then we should trade Collison, Hansbrough and #26 for Calderon and #8

Draft Jeremy Lamb.

Hill/Calderon
George/Lamb
Granger/Jones
West/Thompson
Hibbert/Lopez

I think it would be hard to land that pick from Toronto with that package. Realistically, if they're going to move it, they'd be looking at a Granger/Iggy type of veteran.

You might have a shot at #10, as I'm sure NO would be interested in both Collison and Hansbrough.

Do you think Lamb will be there at 10?

He's not been impressive so far with the draft processes, It's certainly possible.

You can forget about the Pacers trading Hansbrough. I think Bird is going to give him every chance to be the PF of the future.

Deal Collison to Phoenix for Lopez; Considering they will need a PG if Nash bolts. And Lopez fell out of the rotation; and wont have a chance to be the man there with Gortat.

Hill/Stephenson/Price
George/26th pick/Maybe Barbosa/Brandon Roy/or another free agent
Granger/George/Jones
West/T.Hans/Pendergraph
Hibbert/Lopez/Fesenko

Lopez kinda reminds me of a young Jeff Foster; that fans would fall in love with because of his crazy on court demeanor and hair. Imagine him being motivated by Vogel speeches. No one would want to play them in the words of Vogel. Check out what Lopez could give off the bench.......

Bird's not dumb. Any team that looks at Hansbrough as the future of something is going nowhere.

26 is over the hill now? Reggie Miller was able to add something new to his game every summer and continued to do so well past 26. I have every hope that Tyler knows he needs to work on his left hand and on developing counter moves when teams take his go to move away. He also knows that he needs to get better to earn a contract extension. As aggressive as he is, I think we can expect a better PyschoT by November.

With an expiring David West, i can see Larry grooming Hansbrough to take his place in a couple of seasons. I don't see the coaching staff and the front office giving up on him that easily. It is not his fault that David West doesn't play center to make minutes for both him and Lou.
