"A Bonding Experience Out West"

About eight players, the entire coaching staff and the training staff were out there. More players would have shown up if not for prior commitments.

“That’s a sign of a team that wants to improve,” president Donnie Walsh said.

They worked out and also played pickup games against other NBA players at the Clippers practice facility.

Sounds like the camaraderie and team leadership are there. I think these guys can make strides simply by growth. No major free agency additions (unless you consider Mahinmi, Green, and Augustin as "major").

What do you guys think? Will this ultimately make a major impact during the season?

I think they will all request trades to LAL or LAC at the deadline :)

Just kidding, looks really cool experience, wish I was reading about my sixers doing the same thing.

Pretty cool stuff. Hopefully, it carries over to the regular season.

I was hoping all of the guys would've went. Does anyone know which 8 guys went? Nevertheless; Its a good start to a season with such high expectations. The chemistry should be strong from the start.

If you read the quote I put up, more players would have shown up if they had not had prior commitments they had to make.

Historically, Granger and George have worked out on the west coast in the summers. Collison used to when he was here, too.

Meh. I doubt it means much. As you said, Granger and George typically work out on the west coast during summertime, and they may have just encouraged some of the other guys to come with them.

Our team has great chemistry, no doubt, but it doesn't mean much at all. I'll be impressed when they can translate this into some victories on the court.

I'm curious as to which players showed and which didn't.

Plus I doubt they'd be allowed to do basketball related activities if the whole team was gatherd together.

The league punished the Twolves some years back with McMillian as the HC for being in Vegas all together. Some 250K fine as I recall.

I believe that included free agents (granted, their own) during the "non-negotiating" period of free agency. It was viewed more as violating the moratorium.
