I am not an expert to know who notable NBA scouts are for other teams, but it seems to me that we hired a pretty legit guy. Doherty has a heck of a resume. Not only in college but also working in television is a big plus, just shows you he loves to watch and breakdown the athletes.

I once heard that even while at Kansas, when he was just an assistant, he recruited Paul Pierce and Kirk Hinrich. Obviously, i'm sure they were high ranked players to begin with, but those were pretty solid players to put on the full court press on to get them to commit to Kansas.

Eh, he's junk. Turned a good single year at ND into the UNC job, and then fell into the SMU job, both of which he was miserable at.
