He seems like he is a good guy on the jazz. Just wondering what changed.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

His attitude, off court issues, fitness, selfishness, decision making. Basically you name it.

His talent was never in question the guy just made a lot of awful decisions not only for his career but especially in terms of the Pacers.

Perhaps he's grown up a little since he left but there was a reason why he was untradeable during his final tenure here.

I'm guessing you've come to appreciate his handle and ball handling skills. While here he was a bad perimeter shooter, a below average finisher who played no defense. He didn't have to bo be a Bad defender With better effort he could have been an average defender.

Then there were the intangibles. He could be counted on to be out of shape at the outset of th season. He would then be more suseptable to injury. That was typically followed by a bad effort in rehab.

He constantly missed games in the winter for "sinus" issues (aka, getting too drunk the night before games). He had a partying issue, an attitude issue, a work ethic issue, and a team spirit issue.

Ultimately, he was just a complete cancer to the team and the city at the end. I think it took him being flunked out of the league and having to work his way back in in Utah to put it all together again and realize he didn't have any other chances.

Like so many talented ex-Pacers, it was the attitude.

But yeah, i like him when he was playing for Indy, one of the best playmaking PG's the team has ever had.

I second this.
JT had a couple of 20/20 games as a rookie. It only went downhill from there.

Another strong game from Tinsley tonight, 11 assists in 21 minutes coming off the bench.

Well, he can't hit the broad side of a barn with his shot, so it's not like he's killing it out there. But, I guess the passing is nice. Has managed some decent defense for his age too.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
