Game 78: Cavs @ Pacers
Not a good first half. We're down 53 - 48.

Wow, we're having some serious problems against weak teams. Not good whatsoever going into the playoffs.

Re: Game 78: Cavs @ Pacers
We ended up winning 99 - 94. The Cavs have the right to complain about some calls in the end.
That said, I just loved our comeback in the 4th. Great to see Pendy and Vogel's ejection fire up the team. This win could be huge for our morale.

Charge call on Kyrie.
Of course, I will certainly give you that those were extremely pivotal calls in the game.
As I said, you have every right to complain.

Once again Frank shows us why Shaw should be the coach of this team!

Re: Game 78: Cavs @ Pacers
it wasn't Vogel's fault. it was almost my fault though. I changed channels with us ahead 20-12 to watch a two hour show. I had the score in the corner of my set and I watched it go from bad to presumably hopeless. then my show ended and I went back to watching the game and voila they went on a huge run and won. who knows what would have happened if I'd stuck with the game all the way through.
Vogle said post game that he knew down 20 he had to do something to change the game and so he got thrown out. no one asked the follow up question whether he told Shaw on the way out to try Pendi but
"Quinn sure recognized that the change made it easier to defend the pick and roll.
that charge call looked right to me but I'm not from Cleveland. I thought Pendi had his feet well outside the circle at the time contact was made. he may have been rocked back by the contact but wouldn't that be after the foul? hope the Cleveland press doesn't get on Byron Scott about this game. he's a favorite of mine. he turned us around as a player and there have been several times I hoped we'd get him back as a coach.

I was watching the Cavs feed and they said that if a player has his feet above the circle then it counts as being inside. Pendy had his right heel above the circle.
I'm not familiar enough with the ruling in order to be certain that it was the right or the wrong call, though. All I can say is that it was controversial.

Re: Game 78: Cavs @ Pacers
I'm not sure of the rule either. I agree that by the end of the play his heel could have been in the circle but I think it was outside the circle when the contact was made and the force of the contact knocked him backwards probably into the circle. I'd like to think the call was right because I think the rule should be that you need to be outside the circle when the foul is committed not at the end of the play. it doesn't make sense to me that the rule would say you could barrel into someone with such force that he falls on his butt inside the circle and that makes it a block.

wiz u can never change the channel its always bad news, lol. but I do blame vogel,he never uses his bench right and he would have never had Pendergraph in there at that time. now vogel has done a good job,for a guy that's never been a head coach, but I don't believe he's the coach to take us to the next level.it reminds me a lot of bob hill, was a great guy,and good coach, but larry brown had to come in to take us to the next level, and I feel shaw is a coach that could do the same.

Re: Game 78: Cavs @ Pacers
Shaw hasn't been a head coach either. I won't deny that bench coaching takes experience but I don't think coaching is our major problem at this point. we've still should get 50 wins and have a shot at 2nd and I think we all would have been very happy with that last summer had we known that Granger was going to give us zip.
by the way, I did skip much of tonight's first half but except for commercials I hung in with the Bulls for the 4th quarter and over time and helped end the Knicks streak. Bulls win. Bulls win. we're still alive should we win Friday and Sunday.

true shaw hasn't been a head coach, but has been a player in the league, and an asst for awhile. and i feel our biggest problem is vogel not using the bench well, and i don't feel granger would had been that much of help unless it was as our 6th man, cause when he starts it puts Paul at the 2,which i just don't feel he's a 2 in this league
