Conley suffers from the same thing as TJ Ford. He plays in a system that point guards have difficulty producin in. Conley would be great here, when O'Brien is gone.

I find it hard to put "Conley" and "Great" in the same sentence. He would be worth a gamble though.

It bothers me that a point guard selected by matching criteria fundamental to sound basketball just wouldn't do well under our coach.

A habit of selecting guys for talents not suited to their positions leave the team awkward and weak.

What does this guy want from his point? rebounds? Three pointers?
Look, When you're trying to find a part, get one that does what it's supposed to do. At least start with that.

I insist if you need a point concentrate on a guy with:
great handles,
solid D,
passes well.
Stays with the plan.

You might find a point who can get you 20 for example, but generally his counterpoints have career nights against him.

Good offense RARELY makes up for poor defense and since it is not as appreciated it's cheaper to purchase, if you bother.

Or do you pass up a guy that can make a great pass to a 45% shooter - to get a guy who cant - but shoots 38% instead of 33??

I want one guy on the team exceptional at handling the ball. I don't care if that guy EVER takes a shot, if he can consistently drop the ball in for a dunk.

He has to keep the team involved or no matter how good he is he's not gonna beat anyone by himself.
