Free agent Lance Thomas is nearing a likely deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, a league source told RealGM.
Thomas and the Pelicans are still finalizing terms for his return, but there’s strong belief that he will be with the organization into training camp. The Indiana Pacers also are expressing interest in Thomas, a source said.
A 6-foot-8 forward out of Duke, Thomas, 25, averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds last season for New Orleans.
