Vogel the new version of Thibbs!

Post#1 » by Robertchk » Tue Apr 29, 2014 8:59 pm

We talk about Spolstra so many times, but the one thing we can NEVER say abou his is that he doesn't adapt to the opposing lineups during a series.

Thibbs is Chicago has struggled with his military ways and has led the Bulls to many wins in the regular season, NOTHING in the playoffs as key players are usually worn out by mid fourth quarter.

Vogel continues to watch his ship seeks and pray for something that is just not there THIS series.... if this were Spolstra without a doubt, Copeland would have been playing more minutes the last month of the season getting ready for a possible matchup against Atlanta... and would have put him out there without questioning himself. This is exactly what he did with James Jones and Rashad Lewis in prepartion for Indiana just INCASE Battier continued to struggle.

say what you want, Spolstra is twice as good as any coach in the Eastern Conference, and owns the players, unlike Indy who can't seem to control Stephenson's emotional roller coaster during games or provide encouragement during the games.... he's out there whinning with them

Hopefully he makes a lineup change in game 6... Mahimi is the better starting option to start this game and we've all know this for three games now.

Spo has LeBron, Wade, and Bosh. How on Earth would you ever know if he was any better than the worst coach in the Eastern Conference? To say he's twice as good as any of them is just silly. It's also a lot easier to control players' "emotional rollercoasters" when you're getting all of the calls. We've had starters in foul trouble in the first quarter every game this series. Mahinmi has played better this series, but nobody knows if he's the better starting option until he starts and plays better. Taking Roy Hibbert out of Indiana's starting lineup is not at all like taking Battier out of Miami's. You're comparing apples to gum on the bottom of your shoe there. Frank also isn't the one who decided to trade the team's leadership for Evan Turner. I honestly thought that trade would work out really well for us, but it clearly hasn't. The Hawks are also an awful matchup for Indy and were hitting everything they thought about shooting last night. Should we have been more prepared for them? Heck yes. Is this any reason to suggest that Spo is even a mediocre coach? Not a chance.

Thibbs gets the most out of his players.
Vogel doesn't.
Case in point: dj Augustine. Who got the most out of him?

Thibs is firm but is equipped with a system. Vogel is firm and thinks he has one.

FreeRon,
Atlanta is a matchup problem because Frank has allowed them to be. A great coach believes HIS team is the matchup problem. Pacers have the players to create space and pound/drive the ball inside, but opting not to do it consistantly. Instead, Atlanta is taking it to the Pacers when is should be the opposite. This game is more mental than anything, and the Pacers are showing anxiety because their coach is.

GrandBasterd,
Thibbs, great regular season coach. He's yet to realize the playoffs are not the regular season for some reason. Even the young coaches out strategize him over and over again- it's strange.

Just wondering Rob, now you are a dual season ticket holder and the Bulls are out, are you still rooting for the Pacers?

Honestly, I always just want to best team to win, BUT hate not to see the best teams play each because of poor decision making (stubborn) by coaches.

May the best team win on Saturday and the Pacers bench Hibbert to start the game to give them the best opportunity to compete.

Let George and West go to work by clearing the side... Milsap doesn't have the best IQ, and none of them can guard George off the wing.
