Kalnietis is not the quickest combo guard, but he likes to go to the basket. Out of necessity he plays as a starting PG for our national team and could also be considered one of the leaders. He just finished an injury plagued season, so the major question if he's fit enough.

What do you think?

Apparently not a negotiation. He's going to an open tryout at our minicamp, along with Stanko Barac. Extreme long-shot for a summer camp invite, and from there, even longer shot to make the team.

Otherwise, he's an awful shooter, and that's REALLY hard to hide in the NBA, let alone at a guard spot. Vet minimum salary at best, highly unlikely to make summer camp; immensely unlikely to make the roster. Either way, we'll see what he's got.
