Also, 3 back of Charlotte with both teams having 4 left to play. So, infinitely unlikely (especially since Charlotte holds the tiebreaker), but still out there for at least one day.

The eight teams in the East are now set. We can no longer get to 6 but we can fall to 8. Our magic number to be 7th is 2 and we and Detroit both have two games left. We play Knicks and Bucks. They play Heat and Cavs. Heat are still playing for position. Cavs may or may not have 1 locked up before they play the Pistons. A Pacer win and a Pistons loss on Tuesday would make Wednesday immaterial and let us rest starters Wednesday. I don't expect that but we can hope.

So, we are going to face either Toronto or Cleveland. I don't think the team will win a series against either opponent, but i expect them to put up a decent fight. 2-4 againt Toronto and 1-4 againt Cleveland.
