I don't think he'll ever be a 20 point scorer, but he just looked like a completely different player on offense, poised and confident. I know JV isn't particularly fleet of foot, but if Mahimi can get 14 and 9 next season, while aggressively taking it to the hoop, then no need to look for another starter at the five.

I'd be more than ok with Mahinmi returning as the starter, if that's how it turns out. If we could keep him AND add a top notch big man as well? All the better. My hopes for this summer include Mahinmi returning, no matter what else we do.

With Turner it seems like it would be one or the other.

Turner's future should be at four. He played mostly five this year but that was to keep things simple for a rookie. We'll still need to be able to match up with big lineups.

I disagree. I think Myles is less easily guarded by 5's. While he could spend time at the 4, I see him as a 5 moving forward as he gets stronger physically.

As long as Turner gets to play with another mobile big man, I don't think it matters if he's the 4 or the 5. If we have a less mobile big man, then Turner would have to play the 4 to compensate.

I don't think there's anything particular in Turner's game that dictates where he has to be played, for the most part, but I do think his future is at the 4 primarily.

Just from the eye test, we struggle to even grab defensive rebounds when we go small and Ian isn't out there with him. But he does have the range to make most centers uncomfortable and the rim protection to anchor the middle.

I think it's hard to define exactly what Myles is right now. I'm not sure if there's any apt comparison out there.
