I'm all for bringing back Lance, but he would likely have to accept a bench role. The two guard that can't shoot has not worked for us lately.

Teague/Ellis
Miles/GR3
George/Stephenson
Young/?
Turner/new backup rim protector

Lance can hopefully bring some fire and rekindled a spark on his career like Dion Waiters has done this season

I like it a lot. Bring him home. He was never bound to play as well anywhere else as he did here.

Is Lance eligible to play in the playoffs?
I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations for allowing me to live, work and play on their unceded traditional territories.

Yes. Next, they need to waive Seraphin and bring back Hansbrough. Goon Squad reunion. The team needs energy, effort, and rebounding in the worst way.

Actually I'd like that! Always liked Hansbrough and never really liked Seraphin lol...And as you said, he would bring energy and effort, that's for sure

I like Seraphin even though he never plays, now that we have Lance back we'll have another guy besides Lavoy Allen who wants to get Rebounds.

I can't wait to see Lance back in the Blue and Gold!!

Don't think so. He has already played for other NBA teams this season and missed the cut off date of March 1st.

He should however be able to help the Pacers get to the playoffs and get a better seeding in the playofffs.

He IS eligible to play in the playoffs, it's a guaranteed deal

Oh so you can play in the playoffs as long as the deal you sign is guaranteed for next season also? As in, not like a 10 day contract or something?

I stand corrected then.

I know we're at the 15-layer limit.

But seems it's worth a look; maybe
either can even be had for cheap.

Amnesty someone? Trade?
Joe Young to D-League?

Or are we really set at this point?

You thoughts. 8-)

I gave you an and-1 for calling it!

I see no down side to this move. Pacer had a strong incentive to.waive Stuckey even if he wasn't hurt. That said, I'm not overly optimistic we will see remarkably good results from this. Lance is not a good fit with a traditional point guard. He needs the ball too much and isn't particularly effective off the ball. He has many of the same issues as Monta Ellis (poor shooter who has never learned to move with the ball and even if he did there is little reason to chase him). What about that Monta/Lance back court? Yikes!

Now, he does potentially represent an upgrade to Monta, better defender and rebounder. If he were to come in with a willingness to play off the ball and play the role of the energy guy? That might be interesting. I'll be more inclined to watch one way or the other.

Great step in the right direction.
This makes letting Teague walk work.

Now time for some other do overs:

That Kawhi miss, draft Sindarius Thornwell (Tim Duncan look alike and Kawhi Leonard play-alike)
Josh Hart can fill the role similarly, not as well.

They had Thomas Heurtel on the 2010 summer league team with Stephenson and George. Reunited!

Anthony Randolph was telling friends he'd been traded to the Pacers. Now! is the time Sir Larry!

Stephenson/Heurtel/Ragland
Robinson/Thornwell/Ellis
George/Brown/Honeycutt
Randolph/Young/Seraphin
Turner/Christmas/Jefferson

&

Replace McMillan with Ettore Messina.

Return to Indiana Pacers
