First I'm going to address Hayward. Don't count on him coming to the Pacers just because he's from down the road in Browsburgh. The Celtics fans think they're getting him because of Stevens, I'm guessing 75% chance he stays in Utah. Blake Griffin? Really 90% chance he stays in LA or signs with Boston. Milsap 20% chance we get him but we still have to clear cap space to get him or anyone else. Check out this site for payroll info.

CJ Miles is certain to be a free agent, with out him we have about $74 million under contract not counting Teague's cap hold. Smitty has us with about $11.765 million in cap space. If we renounce all our holds and dump Lavoy Allen we get max cap space of about $33.7 million. If we know we are signing Hayward I'd renounce everyone not under contract and then try to sign Teague after we get Hayward in. But like I said I think he's going to stay in Utah. If we could sign Milsap to 3 yrs $22-24 million per I might take a shot at him but again you've got to renounce everyone, then try and bring them back.

One way to go about this off season is to try and dump Ellis and Jefferson before the draft, that's not gonna be easy, considering Ellis' contract clause he can be considered expiring and if you kick $4 million in to a jefferson trade he would be as if an expiring also. The problem is to trade them you're gonna be taking on longer term deals and or bigger money. OKC might do Kanter for Jefferson but that increases our payroll by $7 million plus. We might be able to get Biyombo for Jefferson depending on how disillusioned Orlando is with him, but that's 3 yrs at $17 million a year. Better hope he comes around. If I'm giving them Jefferson and $4 million for Biyombo I'm gonna want their late #1 as payment for eating all that salary.
Then there is Ellis, I'm hearing that PG is good friends with Reggie Jackson of Detroit. IDK how that came about but I'm willing to bet we could swap picks with the Pistons and swap Ellis for Jackson, but then we say good bye to Teague. Would the Pistons give us #12 and Jackson for Ellis and #18. They need to sign KCP and he's gonna cost them an arm and leg. Now the big question is do we really want Reggie Jackson as our point guard?
