I don't know how you guys feel.
But I'm sick to death of these PG to LA and PG to Cleveland low ball trades. I think I'm taking a break from posting in the T&T for a while. There are some seriously dense individuals out there who thing the Califorica's excrement don't stink and Indiana is just some corn field somewhere between LA and NYC.

To be fair, I live in LA. It's nicer than Indy in most quality of life areas. I wouldn't say the people as a whole are worse, just different. I'd say some things about it suck but the positive seriously outweigh the negatives and it's wonderful.
That being said, Lakers fans are, as a whole, spoiled, apathetic, and live a bit in a bubble. The casual ones buy very quickly into the idea that they could in a matter of months field a team of Russ/PG/Love.

Yes, I tired long ago of the Lakers thinking the small market teams are their farm system, but I am worried by the report that LeBron has interest in LA.

Re: I don't know how you guys feel.
The NFL proved LA is an irrelevant market by expanding to new heights during which time LA was void a team. Ironically LA returned last season and the NFL's ratings dipped for the first time in years. If I were as shallow as to care what city I made $30 million in, I'd pick Miami over LA.
Market size is an NBA and MLB narrative which is not applicable to the NHL and NFL. The truth is, there are about 4-5 viable teams and everybody else. All of the habitual high lottery (tanking) teams are nothing more than feeder programs. It's a vicious cycle.

Re: I don't know how you guys feel.
It definitely feels like an uphill battle, and sometimes I wonder if the Pacers will ever summit. We've been so close three different times now, we three different squads. Unfortunately during our rise we have come up against the likes of Jordan, the Bad Boys II and now LeBron James. We are always just right there, but don't have enough to get over the top. Paul George is the best all-around player we've ever had during my time watching the team, but he lacks two things; A killer, competitive mentality and stellar running mate.
It's a shame we couldn't put Reggie's spirit inside of Paul's body, then we really might be onto something.
If we could make some moves that made a material difference, I'm all for giving it another year with PG13, but if we are just setting ourselves up to see him walk away next summer, then I'm kicking the tires on any and every possible deal out there.
As far as the Lakers go, they were pretty much gifted their last 5 championships. Shaq went Hollywood, Kobe dictated where he would play, and Pau got traded there for nickels on the dollar at the time. His brother was far from the prospect he's turned out to be.

I wouldn't live in californcia if you paid me millions to do so. I'd pick florida or texas every time.
I fail to see the allure of LA or any part of that state. I don't like a State tax of 12% I don't even like Indiana's 3.1%.

Yosemite Valley is awe inspiring, otherwise I wholeheartedly agree.

The day-to-day weather is pretty nice year-around, and if you like trying new foods and enjoy other cultural conveniences, it's also good for that. Your dismissal of California is just like Angelenos' dismissal of the midwest and I don't get why anyone has such an attitude about living somewhere different. I've lived all over the US in my life and even in China for a period. Tax aside, you haven't listed a real reason why millions of dollars is not worth moving to LA. If you don't see the allure, I just think you haven't seen enough of what it has to offer. No need to bash someplace many millions of people have chosen to live in.

Also, income tax in California ranges from 1% to 12%, whereas Indiana is flat at 3.3%. Tax code and bureaucracies aside, don't believe the hype of "debilitating" taxation in richer states.

Florida? Really? Florida is awful. I live in Texas, and it's okay. Hot and humid in Houston during the summer, but I like that there is no snow, and the rest of the year is pretty nice all around. No state income tax too.

Well I'd be in the upper end of that tax and I don't want to pay the F'ing Govt 10-12% of my income to fund their "agenda" and a welfare state for snow flakes and illegal aliens.
