Challenge: Make a trade where everyone loses!

Post#1 » by basketballwacko2 » Thu Jun 15, 2017 1:00 am

I was goofing around with the ESPN Trade Machine, and I made a 4 team trade that had every team losing more games after the trade. Who can make a trade with the most lost games? Every team in the deal has to lose more games than if they had done nothing.

Here is my entry a total of 22 net loses after the trade.

That's hilarious. The thing that enabled this is that Paul George is incredibly underrated. The Cavs trade Love to get George and don't come out clear winners?

The machine knows Paul George would never play minutes at the 4 and would only serve 13 minutes as backup of Lebron.

It's amazing what machines can do these days.

I've done that last year so it's not going to entertain me anymore this year :P

I think a hypothetical Lebron/PG team up would see them spend a decent chunk of their time both as the 3/2 and the 4/3, respectively.

I don't know if the machine knows that, but that's what I think would happen.

If PG was in Cleveland I'm thinking James plays PF and George plays SF and they look more like a positionless team.

does everyone lose if we trade PG to the Lakers? we may have no choice, but I don't think we come out better and I don't think he can lead the Lakers out of the lottery.

The trade machine says they pick up about 5-6 games depending on what they send back.

It's a losing proposition if the Pacers trade PG to the lakers under these circumstances.

I'm not kidding when I say we should keep him and file a complaint with the League offices for tampering. I'd all so file a case in Federal court asking for $100 million in damages and I'm not kidding on that amount.
