FA idea: Jonathon Simmons

Okay, I will admit, i have no idea what this one would cost. He's a RFA, and still a very unpolished player so any kind of offer would be paying for what he may become, and not what he is. He's a athletic freak. He attacks the rim with purpose. This guy is a high energy, highlight machine, that is just scraping his NBA potential. Excellent defender with solid size. He really stepped up in the absence of Kawhi in the playoffs for the Spurs.

Pacers lacked defense and intensity last season and Simmons fill both spots. He's also probably not yet good enough to ruin our pick. If the Pacers plan is to try to get a high pick with our selection, playing Simmons at the two won't effect it much.

I like Simmons a lot. But he's going to be very expensive. His play in the Spurs playoff run earned him a fat check. Everybody wants to try to find the next Kawhi.
