But does it really matter if a player has 1 or 2 years left on his contract enough to vault a lesser player ahead of a better player value-wise. Of course not.

How did having PG under contract for another season work for Indy? Kyrie is under contract for two more seasons, how's that working for Cleveland?

As of today only salaries are guaranteed, not destinations, because any player can tank his value at any given moment.

When it's know that a player wants to be traded it hurts the ability of the team to trade him and get 100% value. When the player issues a demand to be sent to a certain team and his agent sends out faxes to the other teams in the league telling them not to bother trading for him it destroys the players value. This is why I said the Pacers should have filed charges against the lakers and Aaron Mintz.

You need proof of tampering and I doubt Mintz is using a fax machine :lol: or even owns a fax machine for that matter.

Mintz was just acting on behalf of PG, who was actually helping us by stating he was going to leave. Obviously you would have liked to keep that information private, but at the end of the day something is better than nothing.
