OT - Former Pacer Rasual Butler and Wife Killed in One-Car Accident

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Wed Jan 31, 2018 9:40 pm

Well this sucks to hear. I was glad to see him stick around the league for a few years after leaving the Pacers.

Former Pacers forward Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle, passed away in a one-car accident early Wednesday morning
in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

They were pronounced dead at the scene, FOX LA reported. “The vehicle crashed into several fixed objects. … Video from the scene showed the vehicle had crashed into and damaged a Marshalls store. Police said the vehicle was a new Range Rover that had to be speeding, judging by the debris.”

He was drafted by the Miami Heat 53rd overall in 2002, and his final season in the league was for the 2015-16 with the San Antonio Spurs. He enjoyed the game, but loved the process.

Just WOW.. R.I.P. Rasual and your wife.

They had so much ahead of them and now it's gone.

My heart goes to their daughter. Stay strong kid. Your parents are in heaven and they smile upon you. It will take time, but all this sadness and sorrow will fade away. But one thing will never fade away - your parents love to you. Be happy, live a happy life. Nothing warms parents heart more than seeing their kids happy.

Horrible news. Rest in peace, Rasual and Leah.

Terrible he seemed like a nice guy, good vet to have on the team and a good team mate.

I was watching TV last night on a non-sports channel and was a little surprised to see the story crawl across the bottom announcing the death of his wife, the singer, without mentioning him at all.
